Pros: Task ranking, task color coding, FranklinCovey big picture planning tools, responsive e-mail tech support. Cons: Occasional syncing glitches; lack of customizability; certain planning modules not installable onto a handheld.
Franklin Covey's PlanPlus for Outlook is a terrific product. It brings the benefits of the company's famed paper based organizational tools to the digital domain within Microsoft Outlook. I purchased the product primarily for how it lets me rank tasks ...

Pros: Good interface, useful features, fairly easy to navigate. Cons: Short shelf-life, printing problems, company unwilling to stand behind product for a full year.
There are some good features in PlanPlus, but I am discouraging other people from purchasing this product. First, I bought PlanPlus from the Franklin Covey website about seven months ago. I could not get the print function to work properly to print ...

Pros: It's in Outlook, has a good interface, and tasks are easy to create. Cons: Can be very slow and apt to hang or crash Outlook. No obvious back-up facility.
Troublesome The concept is great. It’s in Outlook with all my other stuff, and with 20” screen, you can run your mail, calendar and tasks from one of PlanPlus’s predefined home screens. It’s easy to put in tasks and ...

A waste of money
by mrt595 ,Feb 22 '07
Pros: There are no pros that I can think of. Cons: It is slow, slow, slow. It causes Outlook to crash and support is awful.
This software is awful. I used to use the desktop (stand alone) version and it worked just fine so I thought I'd give the Outlook version a try. Big mistake!
The interface is poor. On the "home" page you can't manipulate sections (resize, minimize, etc) and unless you have a lot of screen you won't be able to see all the data in each section without using the scroll controls.
Additionally, it loads VERY slow and, on two of my PCs, it eventually halts Outlook. No error. Just a complete halt.
The support is awful. I tried their support chat and they asked me questions that I had answered in my initial message. And of course the support is scripted so I had to go back 3 times and the "halting" issue is still not resolved.
If you are thinking of buying this software DON'T! You will regret it. I wish I could give it zero stars it is that bad. And that is compounded by the horrible support.
Franklin should get out of the software business.
And it's too bad, because the idea of it is great.

Not recommended - very buggy - bad support.
by dj_chihou ,Oct 26 '04
Pros: Great functionality if you like Franklin Day Planners, 7 Habits and MS Outlook. Cons: Buggy printing, display, data loss - weak support.
I purchased this product in 6/2004. I have had errors throughout that were never fixed by the vendor. I run the latest MS products - Outlook 2003 and XP Professional SP 2 - so it's not like I'm on a off platform. The kicker was when support - b4 sending me down another blind alley - told me I could buy their latest version which solves all my problems!!!
Stay away unless you want to loose loads of time and put all of Outlook at risk.
