Pros: Since its made of steel if the water has not completely drained out, creates rust Cons: Looks pretty, easy to use, load and removes stains when used with good washing liquid
The spray arms and two compact motors helps to eliminate the noise that other dishwashers try to mask. Washes your dishes more effectively, quietly and economically using less water, detergent and energy to remove even the toughest baked on food soils. ...
Pros: Reliable. Has yielded years of average performance. Cons: Poor performance without heated rinse.
The Frigidaire Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher is primarily remarkable for its stainless steel finish. Otherwise, it is a basic modern dishwasher. It isn't particularly loud. It isn't particularly quiet. Its features are limited to a time delay ...
Pros: cheap stainless steal Cons: 1 corn kernel clogs up drain, it doesn't wash well, it is not 'ultra quiet'.
True--this was the cheapest stainless steal dishwasher we could find.....however you get what you pay for. We bought this dishwasher when we built our house twenty two months ago. For the past month now, every other time we open the dishwasher after it ...
Pros: None - Do Not Buy Frigidaire Cons: Everything about this unit and the experience of dealing with Frigidaire.
We purchased this unit in June of 2005 and had problems from the start. As another reviewer posted, it would get hung up in a cycle and not move forward unless you turned the dial which wastes major amounts of water and makes the delay start useless! ...
Pros: Gets off all sorts of crud, easy to use, quiet Cons: Silly "Always On" function
Growing up, there were two things I knew about dishwashers. The first was that, invariably, I had to rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. In effect, the dishwasher was a hot steaming dish sterilizer, after they had mostly been ...
Pros: Washes very well and very quiet. Cons: None Yet, So far, So good.
I reviewed the various dishwashers for the past month on every review site that I could find. One of the somewhat favorable units was the Frigidaire FDB750 series of washers. Right after Christmas, 2004, Sears put them on sale for $228.00 so I brought ...
Pros: Quiet, Looks, loaded with "usefull" options. Cons: Honestly, none.
I just picked up one of these units last week. Our local Sears had them on sale for 229.00. This unit by far is not cheap in quality. It looks REALLY nice. Its EASY to load because there is no water tower to work around. What cought my eye ...
Pros: Looks okay. Cons: Doesn't clean. Not very quiet.
This machine simply does not clean the dishes. You have to wash them first if you want them to come out clean (this kind of defeats the purpose). I have had the repairman out various times, and it seems the sprayer arms just don't work as expected - they have given up on repairing it. I am very disappointed and will be purchasing a new dishwasher to replace this one even though its less than a year old.
I don't know the price that was paid as it came installed brand new when I moved in.
Pros: Looks nice and is supposed to be energy efficient. Cons: Every thing about it.
This dishwasher is a major pain in the a--!!! It washes the dishes OK IF you rinse them well but it does not dry well unless you open it at the beginning of the dry cycle and shake off the water from the dishes and spin the water spinners really fast a few times. It also grows mildew because it doesn't dry. There is also the problem that quiet is not really that quite. It makes talking on the phone difficult. We can not usually hear the person on the other end. The TV also has to be turned way up because of the close proximity of living room and kitchen. I have had this for two years now and the tines are already rusting and it sometimes leaks around the door gasket. If you ask me this dishwasher makes doing dishes more difficult than washing and drying by hand. Especially if you want to keep your family healthy and you have a family member who is allergic to mildew.
Pros: Looks nice on the outside. Cons: Low power, poor drainage, bad smell, rusting dish racks.
The one I have came with the house and it's a piece of garbage. So far, I have had a repairman over to my house to fix it twice. First for the fact that it wouldn't get out of the wash cycle and then the control panel wouldn't work properly. Even the repairman himself said that it isn't a high quality machine and it doesn't have much power. Despite what the ads claim, you still have to rinse off the dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. Otherwise, you have food particles swishing around inside and they end up back on the dishes. Now, the dish racks themselves are rusting and the inside of the machine stinks due to poor water drainage. If anything, I now try to avoid using this dishwasher as much as I can. I would rather wash dishes by hand. That way, I know they actually get clean.
I purchased this dishwasher in March 2004 and had problems from the beginning-was not cleaning the dishes and worse it would hang up in cycle and run continuous until I turn the dial either off or to the next cycle. Has anyone else had this problem? My home burnt to the ground in 2006 and was ruled undetermined, but the fire began in the kitchen in the area of the dishwasher. I noticed on another Frigidaire Dishwasher there were several reviews with this same problem.
Does not clean - bad design by bonometti ,May 19 '06
Pros: Cheap, nice looking, good specs. on paper Cons: Does not clean anything! Worthless as a dishwasher.
We have the Frigidaire FDB751SCQ0, which has the top rack funnel fill. Frankly, it seemed the top never got any water or spun around. The repairman replaced the motor but that did not help. The unit does not clean dishes! It seems that there a ball that shifts to let the water go from the bottom spray bar to the top but there is no apparent mechanism to make it move! No one can explain how it works! The bottom dishes do not clean either and the dish soap ends up as a powder on the dishes. We used all the products they suggested, expensive and cheap, changed the water temperature, etc.... the unit does not get the dirt off the dishes or even rinse liquid soap out of the dispenser. After 8 months of trials and repairs, it is going back!
frigidaire dishwasher not too good to clean your dishes! by abcdefg1 ,Jan 29 '06
Pros: pretty to look at. controls easy to use. easy to load. Cons: leaves dishes dirty especially if you don't clean with rinse aid and dishwasher cleaner.
this one was in our home when we moved in. it was brand new. after about 2 to 3 months it couldn't clean the dishes very well. also left them with a whitish cloudy film. had to send for serviceman to repair about 4 times and they said it was hard water area? maybe so,but i had a cheap whirlpool washer and i lived in a harder water area and never had to "clean" it to get my dishes clean, even in regular no hot water temp wash!
Pros: looks good, low price, tall tub, quiet enough, fairly easy to load. Cons: Does not clean well, cheap wheels and rollers, cheap racks.
this dishwasher came with my new house. I considered upgrading from the start, but figured I'd give it a try and be happy. Well, one year later I'm shopping for a new machine. It looks okay, loads good enough though nothing fancy, and though not exceptionally quiet, it is quiet enough for me. However, it is very inconsistent on getting dishes clean. You basically have to pre wash them, and I put them in with NO food on them whatsoever. Often them come out with soap powder residue on them. I think the way Frigidaire got the machine quiet was to lower the wash pressure, creating low performance in actual cleaning.
Pros: none, not very quiet Cons: broken when delivered
purchased dishwasher last week, installed it on the weekend to a very new, almost completed renovated kitchen. twice the dishwasher has overflowed all over the floor. we assumed we made a mistake in the plumbing the first time, but last night it did it again and has now ruined my new cabinets with overnight water damage. seems that the cellinoid wont stop running and therefore the water free flows when you are not around, eventually overflowing out the door, to the floor etc. needless to say it will be going back and i wont be accepting a replacement, only my money back and the repairs fully covered in the kitchen.
Pros: Lightweight, easy to throw in the trash. Cons: Cheaply made and doesn't wash dishes.
I regret buying this dishwasher. I should have had our old KitchenAid fixed instead. At least the KitchenAid cleaned the dishes. After 3 days of use, this plastic washtub can't do the job. It was also a pain to install. The cheap insulated cover kept getting caught in the flimsy door springs. This is one big disappointment. After two days, we are still waiting for an appointment for a repair man to see it. If you are shopping for a new dishwasher, save your money and buy a KitchenAid. It will be a lot less stressfull!
UPDATE: The repairman came and blamed the malfunction on wrong installation even though it was the same installation used on our previous dishwasher. So we hired a plumber to check it out. Nothing was wrong with the installation. Repairman came back and found a defective timer. So we had the machine for 2 weeks and it only worked for 3 days. The retailer took the dishwasher back and gave us a full refund. I now have a KitchenAid and what a difference in Quality! Plus, it really washes dishes! Never again will I choose a cheap appliance.
Pros: Works well and looks very nice. Cons: Does not have adjustable tines/racks.
This dishwasher gives good value for the money. There is only two people in the house so it takes 2-3 days for it to fill up, so I always pre-rinse the really mucky dishes. If I am going to turn it on right after dinner, then all the dishes go in as is and everything comes out sparkling. It is pretty quiet and does what it is supposed to do. Overall I am quite pleased with it.
Two Fridgidaire Dishwashers Two Broken Pumps! by sh86894 ,Jan 19 '05
Pros: Inexpensive, quiet, efficient. Cons: Life span... 2 out of 2 dishwashers broke!
I have purchased two of these dishwashers. One for my rental home a little over a year ago and one for my personal home about 6 months ago.
At first they both worked great and I was very pleased with the options and the price, but about two months ago, the worst possible scenario occurred.
First the dishwasher in my rental home broke, conveniently after the 1 year warranty period. Then about a month later the dishwasher in my own home broke. Luckily the one in my home is still under warranty.
Both dishwashers failed due to a faulty pump. Either I am incredibly unlucky, or more likely there is a manufacturing defect with these pumps. Frigidaire is fixing the dishwasher under warranty with a brand new (and most likely faulty) pump, but will offer no assistance with the other dishwasher that is more than a year old.
Needless to say, this is the last Fridigaire product I will ever purchase.
Great machine for the price! by barjon ,Jul 28 '04
Pros: Quiet, large capacity, cleans well, low-priced. Cons: I haven't come across any yet.
I'm a single guy who only needs to run the dishwasher every 5 days or so. Because of that, I pre-rinse. Therefore, I didn't need to purchase an elaborate machine, or spend much more than $200. I just wanted something that would get the job done well, quietly.
This Frigidaire does exactly that. It is very quiet, and so far, everything has come out clean and spotless.
You can get a lot into this machine too, because the cutlery basket fits along the side of the bottom rack, and there's no center tower to work around. There's a spray arm under the top rack instead, which you don't find in other machines at this price.
Another feature important to me is the design of the detergent dispenser. I have seen other machines that leak out the detergent before the main wash. Frigidaire has one of the best dispensers that seals very well and keeps the detergent dry and fresh until it is supposed to be released.
Efficiency is another benefit. This unit is Energy Star compliant, and uses only 6 gallons of water in a normal cycle. That's half of what my old machine used.
Pros: relatively quiet and fast Cons: just about everything else.. it just doesn't wash!!
This was my absolute worst washer. I've previously owned Maytag, Magic Chef, and now Whirlpool (after getting rid of this machine) and this piece of junk performs less than half of the rest (Maytag and Magic Chef were at least 5-10 years old). Yes, it is the cheapest stainless steel you can find...but you will know the reason why. I had to pre-wash dishes with my hands, load them to the machine, and post-wash the dishes to off detergent residues -- for total of 3 cycles (2 manual, 1 machine). I was so unhappy from the start I ended up paying a lot more money to get a sure thing - Whirlpool Gold. I had never written a review this bad but please listen and don't waste your time or money. BTW, I found out that it ranked absolutely worst in Consumer Review as well.
