Frigidaire GLTF2070DS Front Load Washer

Pros: Looked decent, loved everything about front loading
Cons: NOISY, stupid pedestals cost a fortune, short life.

Bought a new home and replaced all the aging appliances. Went with Frigidaire for all of them and the dealer set the right price considering all the items that we purchased, paid $400.00 for this washer. This was June of 2004, now February of 2007, not ...

Pros: Right now, I have no pros for this appliance.
Cons: I am very disappointed that Frigidaire does not stand behind their product.

I have had this washer for under 3 years and the bearing and drum broke. Frigidaire is telling me that it will cost over $300 to repair. I paid over $700 for this washing machine and can't believe I have to pay to have this fixed.

Pros: Durability - so far, efficiency, style, stainless wash tub, quiet , cleans our clothes well
Cons: none

We have had the washer for more than 4 years now with no problems and we use it ---- A LOT. Two little boys and this machine runs constantly.

Pros: not reliable
Cons: worked well up until it stopped working!

just over a year after buying (right after the full warranty expired of course) it started malfunctioning. About 6-10 minutes into wash cycle the timer freezes and it just sits there for several minutes and then reads L-04. It's being fixed now for $170 labor. Fortuneately the part (motor controller) is still covered under the limited warranty. Hopefully there will be no further problems.

PS: if you open up the bottom panel there is a detailed sheet explaining the fault codes. I would have liked to have seen that when I was trying to figure the problem out
