Pros: Compact, easy to use, packed with features, cheap.

Snap Happy

by cujimmy , Mar 02 '05
Pros: Good price. Easy to use. Excellent picture quality.
Cons: Not a lot!
~ ~ My first venture into the world of digital photography was an unmitigated disaster. Back in June of last year (2004) I bought the Creative PC-CAM 880 in a local electrical superstore, for no good reason other than it was under 100 Euro in price, and ...

Very Fine Pics Indeed

by callancool , Nov 20 '04
Pros: Great Images No sharpening needed
Cons: Sometimes not to good in fluorescant light
THE INTRO OR THE OUTTRO? It was with no apparent intention to buy that the Coolster thumbed his way through his ex wife's 'Bigtree's' autumn/winter 2004 Catalogue (note: That's a not so cryptic, cryptic clue as to the real name, guesses in comments ...

A Really Good Camera ... As Long As There's Lots of Light

by truegenius , Feb 22 '05
Pros: Stylish and attractive; inexpensive; good picture quality and battery life.
Cons: Grainy LCD; ISO 100 only good for bright-lit scenes; somewhat cheap-feel buttons.
Already being the owner of a FujiFilm FinePix S5000 and being pretty satisfied with it, I decided it was time to purchase a smaller camera that could easily fit in a pocket. The S5000 has 10X optical zoom and, because of the rather large lens, is ...

Cons: Comes with very small memory card.
After looking and looking, and waiting and waiting we selected this camera and have been pleased with it since day one. Being on a tight budget, we were trying to get a good deal on a camera. We finally purchased this for $130.00. A $20.00 gift card ...

A good digital at a good price

by mattwimmer , May 04 '04
Pros: Great picture quality, reasonable price, fairly easy to use.
Cons: Battery low warning buggy, ease of use could be better.
I bought this camera recently for about $200 and took it on a trip to Hawaii. It does a good job, and the picture quality is excellent - I printed some out and they are really sharp and clear, very professional looking. It is fairly easy to use, ...

by rotaidalg1 , Jul 09 '07
Pros: Rugged-inexpensive. Buit-in cover. Simple. 3x Optical Zoom. Optical view-finder. AA batteries.
Cons: Single ASA (100). Bulky size. XD cards more expensive than SD.
As I write this this product is pretty old - probably discontinued - but I found one last year on clearence for about $45.00 and couldn't pass up the opportunity to learn about digital photography with such an inexpensive tool. (This is my first ...

Absolutely LOVE this camera!
by joni4ta ,Sep 28 '05
Pros: Compact, excellent resolution, picture card
Cons: Turns off funny, you have to switch the shutter shield over - awkward
I had a bulky Hitachi DVDCam with no flash, and this is WAY BETTER!
It slips in my pocket, and even takes small video (with or without a microphone). It also fits in my purse. And the best thing is since it has a flash I can now take digital photos INSIDE! Yay me! :)

Great pictures! Easy to use
by arh33 ,Dec 14 '04
Pros: Price, picture quality, size
Cons: all-plastic construction, a little power-hungry
I bought this camera for the birth of my 2nd child. We had just moved 3,000 miles and needed a way to keep the relatives up-to-date with new photos of both girls.

I already own an expensive 35mm SLR with various lenses, flashes and tripod, so we were looking for just a simple "point-and-shoot" to send the e-mail photos. That's exactly what we got- simple to use, simple controls and a minor(3x) zoom.

When we used it the first time, we were astonished at the quality! For about $150, we got 144 pictures at full 3mp resolution (on a 128mb card) and when we obtained hard copies at the professional developer (if you can call Costco professional) they were razor sharp, well defined photos even better than some of my 35mm prints!

If you need just a "point and shoot" digital, the Fuji A330 can't be beat! Why pay more?

Malfunction could not be fixed
by amosnews ,Mar 06 '06
Pros: Sliding cover acts as on/off and protects lens when not in use.
Cons: Not super compact. OK for pocket but best if you use a belt pouch.
After a few months some photos started getting bad distortion on pictures that did not use the flash (big lines through the pictures and blur). Sent it in for warranty repairs and after five months the camera came back unfixed and still has the same problem. Now they won't do anything about it because it is out of warranty. I'm afraid to use it now - I don't know when it will work right. I took it to the airport to photograph my son coming home from the war and every picture was horrible.

Great Camera for it's price
by dreammaker182 ,Sep 19 '05
Pros: 3.2 mp 3x zoom plus video under $200, great software, easy to use.
Cons: Doesn't come with a memory card, no sound with video. Shutter lags a bit.
I bought this camera at Wallmart and I really think that it was worth the purchase. For under $200 you have a great camera that has 3.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom and shoots video. You can't find that on many cameras for the same price. I found that the camera works well with XP allowing you to simply pug and play without even installing the camera. I like this because I like to use my own editing software. The camera comes with Fuji's photo software which does a good job at making great prints as well.
