Pros: Build quality; exceptional resolution; natural colours; full user control; ease of use. Cons: Battery life should be better
The first thing that strikes one about the Finepix F810 is its unusual body shape -- a slightly elongated rectangular prism. And then the quality of the camera construction: it's a beautiful piece of engineering in a top-quality magnesium alloy case. ...

Pros: Build Quality; Style; Fast Timing; Good Zoom Range; Accurate AF; Accurate Metering; Superb Image Quality. Cons: xD Card!; CAs of Lens; No 6M Fine Jpeg Mode; Learning Curve of Control Interface.
I have a dilemma for months for choosing the best P&S DC with more advanced controls for myself. This dilemma has finally been solved last week when I got my Fujifilm F810! I went to the shops and tried it against the more eye-catching Canon S70 and ...

LCD Failure
by jryles ,Dec 02 '05
Pros: Excellent photo quality, easy to use Cons: LCD failed within a year, expensive to repair
Got this camera last Christmas along with 3 other family members. We all had LCD failure within a year. Sent mine back and they sent me a new camera and the LCD failed in that camera as well (while on vacation!). We are all looking for new cameras this year and it won't be a Fuji.

compact & capable
by johnmedley ,Jun 20 '05
Pros: Well built, good pics, lots of control. Cons: None I can think of.
I highly recommend this camera to anyone who is seeking one that is small enough to fit in a pocket yet offer feature that photographers demand, such as manual control of focus & aperture, aperture priority, shutter priority, white balance. Plus it has the usual no-brainer auto modes. I did a lot of shopping & research (check out dpreviews.com) before buying and I now have no regrets. The long version of pros: well built with an all metal body, well designed menu/controls, high quality photos with great color & contrast (I had to use photoshop to enhance pics of previous cameras, with this camera I rarely do), short lag time & start-up time, good size & sharp LCD screen. It also takes mini movies with sound. I enjoy the extra wide "panorama" mode which gives pics a better sence of place. Battery life is respectable. My first camera was a Fuji which has performed well for 6 yrs so I new they could make dependable cameras. Again, you get a lot in a small package -and at a decent price (I paid $350).

Fuji Finepix F810
by koldhot ,Oct 16 '04
Pros: good cost-benefit, clear pictures, nice & ez 2 use cradle (USB, A/V and power) Cons: too noisy, can't zoom while shooting video, flash doesn't pop automatically
Just bought it after having an Olympus c-50 for the last 2.5 years
LCD is 2.1" but only on widescreen mode (otherwise in std mode it seems to be only1.8")
Didn't like the fact that have to pop flash by myself
Enjoyed the cradle which has USB, A/V and power outlets
Video quality is great but why the hell can't you zoom while shooting a movie?
All in all, it's a good package at around $400 (buy the 512MB Xd card, when shooting movies it's a must)
