Pros: High quality images. Good Color. No noise noticed Cons: Flash as powerful as a firefly's butt. No hotshoe. The video mode is a joke
For the past 25 years, Ive shot 35 millimeter film in my Minolta Maxxum or Yashica TL ElectroX, which was my first camera. Ive never had a complaint about the quality of my images until the late 90s when I noticed that some of the new non-pro ...
Pros: very good imaging for 4 megapixel camera Cons: no shutter priority, slower operations, and the deal breaker, poor shutter lag.
not sure why there are two names for this camera Whats fair to say though, is its a very good camera, for the money. It takes double aa batteries and they last a long time. It has nice 6x zoom which I wished had at least 8 x zoom. It has a cheap feel ...
Pros: Great price, Nice lens, battery life is excellent. Cons: Can't focus in average indoor light, no hope of taking action shots.
This could have been an excellent camera if FUJI put just a couple more features into it. The price is right, and the powerful 6X zoom is great, however.. dim the lights or try and shoot something moving quickly.. forget it. If you are shooting a ...
Pros: Excellent pictures, easy to use, lots of options, WOW! Cons: Zoom Error - lens broke after only a few months of use.
I have owned this camera for about two months now, and have taken a few hundred pictures with it. Like other reviewers, I found the shutter lag was a bit of a pain, but you get used to it quickly. I also found that this camera eats batteries, but I ...
Pros: Great optical zoom, loaded with features yet easy to use. Cons: Read the manual if you want to enjoy this camera more.
I've gone through several digital cameras in the past several years and I always come back to this one as my favorite to use. The image quality and color are fantastic. I've read the negative reviews on this model and would suggest that many of them ...
Pros: It looks good. Cons: The pictures are always a little blurry or a lot blurry.
The pictures I take are 95% motion. I do not like it. I have tried many different things. Don't even think about trying to get a sports picture even the pictures of your family standing still smiling are tough to get without motion. I put it in the closet and am back to using my canon rebel....never fails and no motion!!!
Pros: Lightweight, excellent battery life, great shots in optimal conditions. Cons: Very difficult to use in low light, no auto-focus.
I was initially attracted by the SLR feature, but soon realized that it does not see in the dark and is difficult to focus. You have to stop and focus each shot, no auto-focus feature that I can find. Limits shooting speed. In sunny daylight the SLR feature (not a true SLR but an electronic image) is very difficult to view. The camera is lightweight, has excellent battery life with AA lithiums and can accept 55mm screw-on filters. Not a bad camera for the price but not a true SLR.
Pros: it is easy to use,has many options, makes excellent pictures Cons: I would love to have seen it come with a great case as well.
I must say I was quite impressed with this camera. I figured for the low cost it was more than likely not going to be all that good. Sort of a get what you pay for type deal. But boy was I wrong. This camera makes very good pictures some are really professional grade and you have so may options on it. This camera exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. I love mine and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for one. It is simple to use and makes pictures as well and better than many of the high end cameras I have checked out.
Great for the price, My grab shot companion I can drive with on my neck.. by badwater ,May 08 '07
Pros: Easy to hold, easy on batteries, great for quick snaps. Cons: Weeny screen on back, shutter lag, no hot shoe, no diopter adjustment on optical finder.
Like the 3100, I am an "antique," a pro using 2 1/4 Fuji and Nikon all else 35. My first exposure to digital so I am not too bright on a lot of the jargon. Main thing is, it does the job. I boosted the adapter ring to 52mm and thus can use my Nikon filters where wanted or needed. I put the fotos on discs and send them out for printing. No complaints. With old eyes, I need 2 pair of glasses, one for the viewfinder view (Optical) and another strength for the too small screen in the back. It is a lot of hassle so the camera is usually, literally point and shoot. However, I have ordered a Leica didgi which should take care of the other problems. remember, a lot of the ptroblems lie with us, not the camera, just like in golf. One of my favorites, taken by a pro friend was with a 2mp pocket Minolta Dimage 8 years ago. It's 8x12, tacl sharp with excellent color. As the 3100 is an antique, they are now very cheap if found, and any of the Finepix line is a safe bet.
Pros: Great pictures, Easy to Use, Good Zoom, Good Battery Life Cons: Slow shutter speed, terribly flimsy lens cap, bulky
We bought this camera almost 2 years ago and have loved it -especially for the price. It takes great pictures, unless you miss them because of slow shutter speed. Using rechargable batteries, we have had NO problem w/ battery life. It is a bigger camera and can be bulky to take along (but is lightweight). The video feature, I agree, is pretty worthless.
So pleased, so impressed by ellieauger ,Dec 28 '04
Pros: Great versatility, ease of use, and quality of images. Cons: Would like a metal body rather than plastic.
This is my first digital camera after many years with a manual Pentax k1000. Well, I can zoom in and take close ups as well portraits and landscapes. I am so delighted with it. I upgraded the memory card and purchased radio shack 15 minute rechargeable batteries. Highly recommend. The lens is very large for this class of camera and gives a very sharp quality image.
Excellent picture quality & easy to use! by vintagehippie ,May 07 '05
Pros: Excellent indoor/outdoor photos, great macro/zoom-in features, upgrades/add-ons available, fair price. Cons: Small LCD, video feature is short.
I traded up from an older 2MegaPixel camera to this 4 MegaPixel FUJIFILM. First off, this camera is VERY easy to use, especially for someone wanting to take quality photos indoors or out but not wanting to spending a huge investment on a digital camera.
I use this camera to take digital photos for auctions and get excellent true color and bright photos. I also am able to capture great up-close detail with the macro feature.
Outdoors I have take great up-close shots of wildlife, as well as action shots while we are off-roading, all have come out excellent and I have even had people confuse my shots with people who were using 6 Megapixel $1000 cameras.
Cons: The video feature does not take very long videos, sometimes it is hard to tell how good of a photo you took based on what the LCD screen displays since the screen in only 1.25" x 1".
Great camera with great quality images! by calico79 ,Oct 20 '05
Pros: Great pictures, Good quality, easily operated, nice features, great color screen. Cons: Videos could be better, eats batteries like candy.
This was the first real digital camera I had ever purchased. I love how it is easy to operate and the pictures always turn out great. I will never own another brand other than fuji. I love the XD cards! They have a lot of space and are easily loaded onto PC.
Pros: Ergonomic, Excellent Grip, Great Image Capture, Easy Accessible Features, Longer Battery Life, Cons: No sound for movies, contrary to national advertisement.
The Fuji S3100 is a quality camera with features that even a novice can understand. The pop up flash has the luminance of a lightning bolt, to say the least. The camera is ergonomically designed so that it is easy to hold and handle without fear having it slip or fall from your hands and the user will not experience any fatigue. The rubber grips increase stability, reducing uncontrolled shake and ruined images. The on / off and mode controls are easily accessible and the symbols are spaced sufficiently so as not to error during selection. The adapter ring is a great addition though the cover is sometimes difficult to engage and disengage. The brushed aluminum appearance is awesome and invites many positive comments from onlookers.
This Fuji Finepix digital camera has a 4MP sensor that captures enough detail to give you quality 11x15" enlargements. Get great close-ups with a 6x o...More at Target
