Pros: Easy to use, picture quality is great, 6x zoom, light. Cons: Be prepared to read the manual and I guess the shutter lag? maybe
After months and months of reading how to buy a digital camera and which one I should buy I was getting closer to understanding digital cameras and knowing what I want. If you are new to the digital camera world you do need to understand a few things ...
Pros: Excellent value for money, fully loaded with useful features. Cons: A little Bit bulky for a Digital Camera.
I have recently acquired the Fuji FinePix S3000 & so far I'm very impressed with its quality & features. This is a Camera that suits the occasional user as well as the more enthusiastic Photographer. With 3.2 Megapixels there is enough resolution ...
Pros: Good value and sound picture quality, ideal as a replacement for a 35mm compact. Cons: A little bulky due to large zoom lens, can be slow to respond.
I bought the S3000 with the intention of using it alongside a 35mm autofocus camera. I now use it exclusively, printing at home or using professional image processing labs for runs of "holiday" photos etc. It was not my first experience with a digital ...
Pros: 6X zoom, easy-to-navigate on-screen instructions, nice price relative to cameras with similar features Cons: low-light photos could be better, comes with only 16MB card
After nearly three months of research on digital cameras I had decided to go with the FinePix 3800, then Fuji updated this model with the S3000. Being new to digital, I can not compare photo results with those of other cameras, but I tried numerous ...
Pros: Picture quality is excellent Cons: Manual flash
Of the huge number of digital cameras available, I picked this one because of the lens. It looks like a 'real' lens, has a proper optical zoom and I hoped that I might get pictures of comparable quality to those from my SLR (Pentax MZ-30). It's first ...
Pros: Comfortable, easy to use controls, superb pictures 6X optical zoom, decently priced Cons: Odd-size = difficult to find carrying case, marginal USB capture software
The Fuji FinePix S3000 was a Christmas present from my wife as a replacement for my trusty Nikon Coolpix 800. Despite their convenience, I am not a fan of miniscule digital cameras so the S3000 (and the Nikon for that matter) fit my ideal profile for ...
Pros: outstanding pic quality,6x optical zoom, low price, lots of features,AA batteries Cons: no auto focus illuminator,xd cards, slow shot to shot time,no optical viewfinder(only electronic)
I bought this camera in December 2003. I purchased the camera to upgrade the Finepix 1400 that i own. I thought i was getting an upgrade but i was sadly mistaken. The reason i was disappointed with this camera was not its picture quality. when ...
Pros: Very easy for basic photography but can also be used for more advanced photography. Cons: The batteries drain quickly when using the LCD screen but other than that none.
I just recently received this camera and it is great. It is very simple to use and it has a great zoom. It is easy to take basic pictures but the camera also has features for different situations. It also has a very nice shape making it easy to hold on ...
Pros: Well designed with a nice complement of features; excellent zoom; high quality 3MB photos. Cons: Subpar autofocus system; drains batteries; longetivity concerns; performs poorly in low-light; bulky
This was one of those supposed smart purchases -- I checked out features, reviews, prices, etc. -- and chose the Finepix S3000. While not totally regretting this choice, I still have the feeling that there are better cameras out there for the money. ...
Pros: Ease of use, auto great and some manual for more adventurous types. Cons: 16mb DX card, upgraded to a 256 right away and very happy with it.
This was our 1st digital camera and we were not disappointed. Granted we're not professional photographers, but the picture quality was amazing. Took pictures at the Outer Banks of NC and they were spectacular. This is probably not the camera for hardcore photographers, but for everyday and vacation use, it'll get the job done.
Pros: great zoom Cons: shutter response, many blurry pics
Bought this camera in spring 2005 for the zoom lens to take pics of my son in sports. I have to have it on sports mode nearly all the time to avoid a blurry picture.
Pros: (Electronic view finder),Optical zoom,SLR feel,xd cards,Easy to use, Zoom in playback mode. Pop-up flash nice! Cons: Lens cap loose, Pictures fuzzy on evf but are fine later ,must manually pop flash
This camera is amazing. Great photo quality, autofocus is very good even if in low light, xd cards are nice, great features, and its very nice looking. Very user friendly for someone new to digital.6x optical zoom is awesome, and 3 mp resolution is more than enough! GO BUY IT! THE CONS I MENTIONED ARE NOT A BIG DEAL! IT WOULD ONLY BE A BAD PURCHASE IF YOU TAKE A LOT OF ACTION SHOTS!
Did my research this was the best by shoppearound ,Apr 18 '05
Pros: Price, durability Cons: lag time between when you press the button and the picture is taken.
This was my first digital camera. I researched everything I could about digital cameras. after using it over 10 months and around the world I can say this Camera is a great buy.
I have been using this camera for a couple of weeks now and rate it as very good for the money (I paid £135).
Menus are clear and simple, shape makes the handling good and the 5x optical zoom is excellent. Built in flash gives good results and the macro mode is very usable. Battery life (4 x AA) is very good compared to other cameras I have used.
Minus points are pretty common to all cameras in this price bracket - shutter lag makes shooting moving objects and candid shots difficult, EVF (electronic viewfinder) is too grainy to see detail/focus.
Users used to a decent SLR will be disappointed by this and most other cheapish digital cameras; my sister would love it - I can live with it and find it more than adequate for 90% of my requirements.
Pros: - Easy to use
- Good for a beginner
- Decent quality pictures Cons: - Shutter lag can be frustrating
- Fairly low battery life
I bought this camera about two years ago, when the price was a little higher, but it is a great option, especially for a beginner. Certainly you are not going to get the same quality pictures that you will with a high end Nikon or Canon, but with some tweaking I have been able to produce some excellent shots.
I am a sucker for cameras with a good physical weight and overall feel- this camera is definitely comfortable to use. The camera's features and menu functions are intuitive, it takes decent quality video, and the setup is simple. I was not wild about the software that is included, but it is practically unnecessary anyway.
My main gripe with this camera is the shutter lag. It is not horrible, but I found myself constantly tripping over that delay. It just doesn't give the satisfaction of instantly hearing that shutter click, and it can get annoying. If you want to take dim or no light pictures, it is imperative to have a tripod with this camera.
Overall, though, I recommend it, especially before jumping full tilt to a high end device. Sometimes, this is all you need.
