What A Great Idea!
by jerseysue ,May 07 '05
Pros: Quiet and efficient.
Cons: Costs more than window units.
Instead of blocking windows with air conditioners that have to be removed and stored for the winter or spending many thousands of dollars to have ducts installed in our house we opted for the Fujitsu Ductless Air Conditioner in our kitchen, master bedroom and den. It cost a fraction of what regular central air conditioning would have cost and the installation was fast and simple. The compressors are outside and the units installed through the wall are quiet and fairly unobtrusive. The inside units are remote controlled for temperature, air speed and vent direction. It's so quiet that often we can't tell they are on, and they cool and dehumidify better than any window units we have had. This is an excellent solution for adding air conditioning to homes that do not have heating vents.
