General Electric DGE100N DVD Player

Pros: Inexpensive, good design, good company(RCA offshoot), reliable
Cons: few connections, DVD/TV remote only works with RCA/GE/Proscan TVs

I've had this for nearly 2 years. It has been absolutely reliable, playing all CDs and DVDs without a hitch. I love the menu system and remote. Everything is laid out well, and looks good. I only wish the thing had more than just S-Video, Composite video/audio, and Digital Coax. Remote has TV functions well laid out, but it only works with RCA family TVs.

I purchased another brand DVD player and it was so complicated to install and use that I took it back.(Packaging claimed to be user friendly,haha). The GE installed quickly and easily,with all the necessary cables included. I am very satisfied with the picture, sound and ease of use.

I've only had this product 3 weeks but I've tried most features and it does them very well.I particularly wanted the photo viewing feature and I'm very pleased with it. The unit appears to be well engineered and it's price was right.
