Pros: It seems to be well made.
Cons: Its 700 watts instead of the 1100 watts my old one had.

I moved and my kitchen area is quite a bit smaller than my other house. I gave away my full size microwave in favor of a small one that fit my counter space. This little GE JES738 is great... I like the express buttons which my old one didn't have.

Pros: Small size was perfect for us.
Cons: Ridiculously bad performance was a huge headache—and now we're back to square one.

Our interaction with this product was amazingly bad. The first one we bought broke after just 5 weeks. It began humming very loudly and a glass of cool water heated for 2 minutes remained cool. GE gave us a voucher to replace the oven. The second one we got--same model--was broken the moment we plugged it in, humming extremely loudly and refusing to heat. We got our money back and will never trust GE the same way again. I mean the first breakage might have been a fluke, but when you bring home a replacement product and plug it in to find it doesn't work, you have to wonder about the quality controls of the manufacturer. Save yourself the trouble--avoid this oven.

I bought a GE some time last year and it stopped working after 13 months of intermittent (once per day, < 5 minutes) use. Had to trash it as it was right after the 1 year warranty. Just to give them the benefit of doubt, I bought another one and 2-3 settings (like "pizza") didn't work. So, I returned it after about 3 weeks and bought a Sharp microwave. I would recommend anything other than GE.
