    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Quality construction, excellent playability, elegantly beautiful design
Cons: The electronics are overly complicated

Summary: My utility acoustic-electric guitar is a Gibson EC-30 Blues King, and I would love to write a review about it, but it is not in the database. I recently "test drove" a Gibson J-185 EC Cutaway acoustic-electric guitar, and found it to be ... read more

Cons: Cost. Higher than other guitars in its class.

Summary: Recently purchased a J185-EC from Music Machine in Washington state. If you are looking for an online retailer, this is one to check out. This is a special edition (not custom) guitar built and labled for the retailer's 25th anniversary. It has flamed ... read more

    Pros: looks, tone
    Cons: action, price

Summary: I have never played one of these, but i do have an EC-20 Gibson acc/elec. Starburst, circa 1997. It was born in April, 97, in Boseman Montana. No doubt the best sounding, looking acc./electric I have ever seen or played! The only ... read more

    Pros: beautiful
    Cons: useless

Summary: It looks great but came from the factory with incredibly high action. Apparently there are people out there who like high action but I personally don't know any. I have a very simple criterion: if it plays great out of the box, I take it home, if not, ... read more
