I went shopping for a scan converter and I was told by the computer store salesperson that these things do not work due to the loss of resolution even on a Hi-DEF TV.
I would like to thanks sspetter for his review because it convinced me to go ahead and purchase TView Gold and I have to say that it is awesome. I've had so much fun with my friends playing funny videos or flash files or even games on the big screen TV and the picture is fantastic. I was also able to switch between resolutions without a problem.
I would not suggest using a scan converter for a word processor on your TV and if you need something for presentations then get a real projector, but for fun stuff it's awesome!
