Pros: Extremely comfortable, good sound, shuts out extraneous noises well. Cons: No carrying case.
I have the SONY MDR-EX51 headphones, and I've been using them a lot. I've been very pleased with them. (I don't know why they are listed here as "Apple Computer" since the ones I have are unconnected with Apple. I mainly use them to listen to the ...
Those are the standard run-of-the-mill earbuds. First off, out of all headphone types, earbuds are perhaps the most obnoxious. They fit into the earshell, chafing and pressing against the ear from the inside. Earbuds sit too close to the tympanic ...
Pros: Great sound, great durability, great comfort, excellent value. Cons: None.
Introduction
I'm the happy owner of a Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop, and as we all know, a laptop computer opens up a world of entertainment opportunities while on the road. For the past year or so, I've been carrying around my $30 Sony...
Pros: Superb Sound, very lightweight, comfortable fit, reasonable price Cons: Carrying case could be larger
If you want your DAP or CD player to reach its full potential, you need to upgrade your headphones. The included headphones/earbuds that come with most players are OK, but they usually don't bring out the best quality your audio player is capable of. I ...
Pros: Excellent Sound for the money
Don't fall out of your ears
Robust cables and construction Cons: Not *perfect* (but still vgood).
Check the phones before leaving the store.
These headphones produce excellent value for money. For most people these are the perfect trade off of cost vs sound quality. When I got mp3 player it came with the usual cheap headphone and I couldn't stand them (since I'm used to my Sennheiser ...
Pros: Comfortable.
Cord length (1m) good for portability.
Inexpensive. Cons: Distortion at high and low levels.
Not great sound.
Quality isn't too high.
I've been searching for a long time for a good pair of portable headphones to use with my Creative Zen Touch MP3 player. I thought I would give these earbuds a try since they were pretty cheap ($16CDN) and made by SONY. I guess you get what you pay ...
Pros: The headphones work good. If you won't use the extension cord, buy it then. Cons: The extension cord DOESN'T WORK. Sony's customer service is HORRIBLE.
Don't get me wrong these are pretty good headphones. They're kinda uncomfortable and I used to get a little dizzy after a while because they go all the way into the ear. But the sound is better than most cheaper headphones. It comes with 3 ...
Best headphones for your $$ by Cirrusnine ,Jul 30 '04
Pros: Fairly affordable at $30. Comfortable fit, wear them for hours. Good dynamic range. Cons: none that I have encountered.
I have never been a fan of out-of-the-ear headphones, they simply don't stay put and become uncomfortable not to mention anybody nearby can hear your music.
With the Sony ear-buds you can listen to wonderfully rich music as it was meant to be heard; in full dynamic stereo with rich bass, smooth mid-range and highs that sound realistic without ear fatigue.
The Sony ear-buds come with several silicone attachments to fit most ear sizes so be sure to select the right one. The attachments allow the ear-buds to fit in the outer ear canal and there are no painful pressure points. They are comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time.
I especially appreciate using the Sony ear-buds while flying because the snug, in-ear fit keeps that jet engine noise out. Listening at high volumes is definitely more discreet with the in-ear design.
Really good set of cheap head phones by low351 ,Mar 19 '07
Pros: Great Bass and good mids make any player sound better Cons: falls out of ears, short cord, need to turn up treble
I don't normally write reviews, but I had to for these. I've had Sony earbuds in the past and they've always been good. These ones are cheap but surprisingly still pack that bass punch I'm used to. They list 16mm neodynium drivers and twin-turbo circuitry. Every time I've bought Sony earbuds with these feature they provide bass that other brands have yet to match. Drawbacks, you have to boost your treble otherwise your highs are a tad muddy, and the short cord doesn't help the fact that they tend to come out of your ears if you move about too much. I have to put them back in place about 2 or 3 times during a 20 minute walk. Annoying as it is, I tried to replace them with a clip model and I couldn't find any that sound as good, even a $60 pair of sennheisers.
Excellent Sound and Comfortable Earbuds by stlpowerpopper ,Aug 18 '05
Pros: Excellent sound, affordable, very comfortable. Cons: Cord is too short. I prefer white to the black color.
I was attracted to these by their excellent rating here at epinions, and sure enough these fine and affordable earbuds live up to their hype. I have an older pair of Sony's that sound horrible, and I was skeptical. I was looking to replace the 2nd set of iPod earbuds I'd accidentally stepped upon (the iPod buds die, fyi, after any serious trauma). My old Sony's were sturdy enough, but the sound was lacking. Boy was I surprised by the MDR-E818LP!!
The bass response is excellent, as is the 'full sound' of midrange and treble. What was really striking to me, as I listened to Big Star Radio City, a classic test soundtrack, was the clear presence of all musical instruments, all equally balanced in the mix, something akin to what you'd expect from spending big $$s on an elite stereo and speaker system. All from $10 buds. I think the sound quality is superior to the iPod buds, although I do admit I favor the iPod white over the stark black of the Sonys. I am very happy with my choice, however, and expect many years of listening pleasure from this small investment.
I ordered these from Amazon by mistake. I thought I was ordering a different set. I tried them anyway and they are a total piece of junk. It sounds like you are listening to music in a tin can.
Pros: Clear and rich sound.
Light and comfortable.
Good quality cable. Cons: Is not really bad, but the bass can be a little weak sometimes.
The sound is rich and clear, treble and midband is very detailed. The bass could be a bit weak sometimes...
They are comfortable to use and very light.
The cable can be a bit short depending on your use, but is good quality.
I'm happy with this headphones, they are inexpensive and the overall quality is excellent.
Pros: Amazing bass, sound isolation, sleek look Cons: Extension is almost too long
These are by far the best earbuds that I have ever used.
The sound quality is amazing (especially compared to the iPod's stock buds) and the bass is especially impressive. Just make sure you get a good seal around your ear canal opening to isolate your music from the sounds coming from your surroundings.
The extension cord is quite long, and if you have the iPod with the remote, is not really necessary. But the length is nice, allowing you to put your player anywhere you want - just watch for it getting caught in stuff.
All around, these are the best earbuds you can get under $100.
