Pros: Cheap, light, comfortable, excellent sound, good impedance and volume with portable gear Cons: Not as sound-insulating as in-ear or enclosed headphones
I have quite a few headphones, but mostly use the Sennheiser HD202 or Creative EP-640 (when I need sound insulation) and prefer the ...
Pros: Great design, great sound, very comfortable to wear. It just rocks! Cons: Long periods of use will cause ears to be sweaty.
The beginning:
Let me start off by saying that I didn’t care about the quality of headphones before. I thought that they were all the same. As long as you can hear the music and words, that’s all that really mattered. Well, things...
Pros: Lightweight, portable, bass to spare.
Clear, and crisp-you can hear every note. In-line volume control Cons: Five foot, 3.5 mm cord. May not stand too much abuse.
This review is about the Koss KTX PRO1s. They are the silver set with the blue rubber band under the cross connector.
I must admit that I was skeptical when I considered purchasing these. What would I want with portable headphones? I was looking...
Pros: They hold snugly on your head, sound quality is excellent for the price Cons: May hurt your ears after half an hour or longer
I bought these headphones from Radioshack over 2 years ago, and they still work like they are new. The volume control is very nice. The sound quality is excellent. They are also very affordable. I got mine for $13 at Radioshack. These are especially great ...
Pros: Powerful deep bass, good overall sound Cons: Hurts the ears after a few hours
I actually first got these headphones at least five years ago as a present. I never really regarded them highly, maybe because I didn't listen to music as much. After I tried them out again, I realized that these headphones are a really good find....
Pros: Comfortable, great bass, no annoying highs, price, value. Cons: My MD player doesn't have an amp powerful enough to run them at high volumes.
I've been searching for a good set of headphones for quite some time. After reading a bunch of reviews about the KTX-Pro's on epinions.com I decided to give them a try. Like everyone else I looked at Radioshack, unfourtunately I had no luck as the...
Pros: Clearest, Highest Fidelity I have ever heard. DEEEEEEP Bass Lightweight Cons: Foam pads can be uncomfortable for long periods, Volume Control will wear out.
I love good music,
Music has to be played through good speakers.
Bass must be felt, Highs must tingle your spine.
Well this can be done with thousands of dollars in home audio, or with very large, (and very expensive) headphones....
Pros: comfortable headband, great sound for great price Cons: ear pads can easily fade , bass muddy on some sources
This summer, I bought the Koss KTX/Pros at Fry's Electronics for just $15.99. They seemed less attractive than many other portable headphones, yet their design was quite unique, plus, they had a frequency unlike other brands of 'phones; 15-25,000Hz. When...
Pros: Inexpensive, lightweight, unbeatable clarity, full bass, high quality stereo, stylish design Cons: Volume control seems backwards, pressure hurt my ears, they dont travel too well.
While vacationing in Hawaii, my 6 month-old Philips headphones bit the dust. I went to a Maui Radio Shack, hoping to find something of higher quality sound with a longer life. I checked out their whole array of oversized professional headphones that...
Pros: Clean, smooth sounding highs, ample bass, efficient and comfortable Cons: KTX PRO 1 model is a little flashy looking
Having been largely dissatisfied with the comfort and sound of "in ear" 'phones that I've owned (Sony, Sennheiser) and the efficiency of portable headphones (Sennheiser), a recent purchase of an MP3 player caused me to look to Koss, the originators of...
Pros: good sound, inexpensive Cons: slightly exaggerated bass
My search for headphones included another Koss, a Sony, a Philips, and finally this Koss KTX-PRO. My headphone is actually the Radio Shack version called the Optimus Pro 35. They are identical except for the label.
Pros: Deep rich bass, excellent frequency response! Cons: slightly small
Don't let the price fool you. I bought this headphone for slightly over $20 and it is the *BEST* headphone I have ever bought. I have spent hundreds of dollars on expensive headphones and NONE of them can match the deep bass that this Koss headphone...
Pros: Superb Bass, good clarity, comfortable after you get used to them Cons: may hurt your head at first, ear pads aren't great
I picked these up at wal mart for $30(canadian) after reading reviews at epinons.com and audioreview.com. These headphones sounded great out of the box with my new cd/mp3 player. I have noticed over time that this is a slightly bass colored headphone...
Pros: great sounding!!! Cons: didn't include something like a small pouch to store it.
While i am writing this i am listening to MP3 music with this (KOSS KTX PRO) headphone which i just buy it today.I have decided to buy this KOSS product after i read the opinions about this headphone from this website, in other word all the opinions...
Great headphones especially if you need or want bass by slappy76 ,Apr 26 '06
Pros: Affordable and great sound Cons: sometimes a little too bassy
I have used the Koss KSC35, KSC75 and KTXPro for the last couple of years. KTXPro is by far the bassiest out of all of them. Great for certain types of music. Great for MP3 or CD players that don't offer much bass reproduction. Sometimes you'll actually have to lower the bass a bit relative to other headphones. KTXPro seem to not be as strong reproducing the other ranges as my KSC35 or 75. They're slightly muddier or muffled.
For example:
I use the Eagles Hotel California Live version as a barometer for all my headphones. The part where the drums first come in.. POW.. It's very dramatic on these KTXPro headphones versus the 35 or 75. But the guitar fingering before that are not as defined as the others.
The cord is also very long (about 9'). Which can be good and bad. The volume control is always a nice feature to use. It has a LIFETIME WARRANTY which is great if you're constant crushing your headphones. Overall I'm very happy with it.
