Pros: Good sound quality, compact, folding, light weight, comfortable, inexpensive Cons: Bad distortion if you drive the bass to excessively high levels
While these headphones are not flawless they are quite good for the money (under $30). The sound quality is good, far better than many other under $50 headphones I've listened to. Some people say the even sound better than some $200 headphones. It's ...
Pros: Metal Construction Sturdy Great Sound Quality Head and Ear Padding Folding Design Cons: Long cord. Bose is better, but more expensive.
These headphones are inexpensive, they sound great, are much more durable than they look on pictures, and are very portable for over-the-ear headphones. Usually headphones that are over the ear have to be put on your neck, or in a bag somewhere, where ...
Pros: comfort, punchy lively sound without excess tonal exaggeration, one of the best at the price Cons: leaks a lot of sound, provides zero noise isolation
The Sennheiser PX-100 is an inexpensive open-air headphone designed for portable use. This is a folding headphone, which comes with a nifty hard plastic case. To use the case, the headphone earpads fold flat. And you bend the headband at two joints. ...
Pros: Extraordinary sound, exceptional comfort. Cons: Don't look like much. Construction appears flimsy (but is actually very robust).
Aurally unacceptable and physically uncomfortable the awful ipod earbuds had to go. No audiophile, I've nonetheless owned several headphones, did a fair bit of web research and asked around. The AKG K26P, Sennheiser PX100 and Koss PortaPro seemed the ...
The Sennheiser PX-100 has been in my stable of portable headphones for about a year now, and have proven to me on many occasions that they were indeed a worthy addition. They offer much more than acceptable sound quality for their size and their ...
Pros: Great sound, comfortable, collapsable Cons: Earphone covers prone to coming off
Commuting to work by train has some advantages: reading the newspaper (before they all go out of business), catching up on e-mail and other work functions, thinking about Epinions to write, etc. Listening to other people's often loud and frequently ...
Pros: Foldable, portable, carry-case with cable manager, efficient. Cons: Somewhat flimsy cable, price is a bit too high.
Unlike their closed sibling, the PX200, Sennheiser PX100 are actually a clean-sounding pair of headphones. Overall sound presentation is a tad blurry, as with most "mini" headphones of this price category. Bass is a bit too strong (girlfriend's first ...
Pros: Light-weight, foldable, sound quality Cons: Low frequency response, filtering of outside noise
Looking for a high-quality, well-priced, semi-portable, and outstanding sound reproduction? Look no further... General description: Sennheiser may be a difficult name to pronounce, but the PX 100 headphones are not difficult to enjoy. A unique ...
Pros: Good balanced sound with tight bass, light weight, compact, comfortable fit Cons: No sound isolation, foam earpiece covers may not last
I'm never quite happy with the headphones I have for portable use. They're either too heavy, don't fit comfortably, or don't sound quite right. I have several different styles - all different brands - but I'm always open to try again. Unfortunately with ...
After all the rave reviews on the Sennheiser PX 100 headphones I decided to buy them. I compared them with the iAudio ear buds, iPod ear buds and low cost Philips headphones. The Sennheiser blew away both ear buds and sounded much better than the ...
Get a Glimpse of the High End by darkstar7 ,May 31 '04
Pros: Sound Quality, Inexpensive Cons: No good for jogging/running
For only forty bucks, you can get a glimpse of high end sound. The most common misconception about good sound is the bass. Good bass isn't the bloated, boom-boom-boom you hear coming out of a car stereo. Good bass reproduction is tight & tuneful, and these $40 headphones get the bass right. The small headband means that these headphones will not stay in place while jogging/running.
Excellent compact headphones and useful case by userleif ,May 29 '05
Pros: Excellent sound quality, well made, folds into supplied case, modest price. Cons: None really.
The Sennheiser PX100 is a compact headphone at a budget price of about 30 pounds in the UK (about $50). It has a party trick whereby it folds up and fits into a small plastic case that is about the same size as a spectacles case. The main band is made from stainless steel sheathed in plastic, and comes in three sections joined by metal hinges in the same manner as spectacles. The earphones also turn through 90 degrees to aid storage. The overall finish and build quality seem excellent and the unit should last as long as it is not abused. Where the headphone scores highly is its sound quality, which is excellent. While not in the same league as my Sennheiser HD600 (costing about $400), it easily walked over my Sony MDR-V300 (costing about $50), providing significantly more detail and depth. The PX100 also walked over the headphones supplied with my Creative Zen Micro MP3 player: the difference was massive, and anyone using the supplied headphones is missing out big time. This is an excellent headphone, and highly recommended for use with portable audio devices such as MP3 players.
Excellent sound quality, rugged design by dc2772 ,Jul 04 '06
Pros: Excellent sound quality and construction. Cons: Unusual folding style, but you'll get used to it.
As the title sells, these headphones sound superb, delivering excellent audio quality at all points of the spectrum ... bass, midrange and treble. They have a unique folding design which takes a bit of getting used to ... you may feel like you're doing one of those chain link puzzles when you first attempt to fold it properly to get it back in its case, but after a few times, you'll get used to it. The construction itself is solid and surprisingly tolerant of accidental abuse. The whole set is light enough, comfortable, with well-constructed vinyl-covered foam pads placed in good locations at the top. The speaker pads themselves are the standard, coarse-cell foam pads, but are well attached. Cord is about four feet long, of standard quality, shaped like a "Y" descending from the bottom of the headphone speakers to a junction about one foot below.
