Pros: It is bright and gives more worktop space. Cons: I didn't purchase it sooner.
I'm really excited about this. We needed a new PC. This computer ignorant guy, who just had surgery, asked his wife and daughter to go out to "Best Buy" and purchase something to replace our failing four year old windows 98 system. We all wanted ...

Flat Screen Perfect for Kitchen
by vrythmax ,Nov 05 '04
Pros: Sharp at 1024x768, bright, low glare Cons: Like all flat panel displays, blurry at lower resolutions
When it was time to get my wife a new computer(not in the kitchen), I wanted to put the old on at a workspace in the kitchen but the work space was too small for a 17" CRT and no one in the house wanted to work at 1024 x 768 at less that 17" so my wife asked about a flat panel monitor. After a bit of measuring we found that a flat panel would be perfect and would still allow us to get $300 dollars in rebates on the PC she wanted.
This monitor is great. It has low glare so it is easy to see sitting next to our sliding door to the backyard anytime of day and if you don't have a flat panel display, they are incredibly sharp at their native resolution. The auto adjustment makes it so easy to setup with your video card and it does not require any special video card, just one that does 1024 x 768 for the best detail.
