Pros: Slick Look, Fast Performance, Large Screen, Great Graphics and Sound, Fast shutdown, Multiple User Accounts. Cons: No Floppy Drive, Insensitive Keyboard, Slow Booting, Power Cord Dropping, Less Touchpad Functionality, Horrible Support.
[Update on Technical Support at the bottom] I wanted to buy a laptop as a Christmas gift for my husband, who does not know too much about computers, but loves playing computer games. Therefore, I was looking for a laptop with enough disk space to house ...
Pros: very silent, easy to use, crisp display, fast, very budget friendly Cons: a little heavy, short warranty (90 days for hardware damage) for refurbished models
I did a lot of research before deciding which brand and model is the best. Having a rather tight budget, I looked at Dells cheaper models first. But as a cautious and a little paranoid consumer, I read the reviews before making any decision. All I ...
Pros: Laptop portability and convenience, nice screen Cons: The keyboard and built-in wireless card detract from the overall convenience offered
I purchased my HP laptop just a little over 6 months ago and while it has some nice features, I haven't been totally happy with it. I bought HP because my previous desktop computer was an HP and I was pretty happy with it, plus there was a rebate offered ...
Pros: Good features, specs. Cons: Poor design and ergonomics
This notebook has great specs and features but the packaged shell is cheap and poorly designed. The keypad is not as smooth as Dell or Toshiba. One has to apply more force per keystroke that recalls old manual typewriters. The result is A LOT more ...
Pros: Works well, huge screen, nice keyboard/touchpad Cons: Heavy. A little slow on the start-up for my taste.
I've had this laptop for 10 months now and I still like it. I have long nails and the keyboard is easy enough to use and has a nice feel to it. You can turn off the touchpad with a click of a button (really nice since I prefer a mouse!)
It's a bit on the heavy side though, and it gets HOT when it's been running a bit. Doesn't seem to affect the performance though.
I wouldn't buy another! by jshelgerson ,Aug 29 '05
Pros: Not too heavy Cons: Doesn't work.
I have had this computer since 11/2/2003. In that year and a half. My computer has broken 4 times...all hardware issues. Fortunately since I bought it with an extended warranty, I am now getting a brand new computer for free. The 3rd time they had it in for repair they replaced the motherboard along with 4 other parts (they had it for 2 months)...I thought i was getting what should run like a new computer, and about 4 months later it was broken again. I will never pay for another HP laptop.
Pros: Dependable, convenient, affordable, great tech support, impressive screen... the list goes on. Cons: a little heavy, and the fan could be quieter.
This is my first notebook computer, and after owning it for one month, so far I am completely satisfied. Very practical, convenient, and easy to use/navigate. Would highly recommend!
