Like the title says, I recently purchased my HP. So far, it has been working well. The thing I like about the dv1000 is that it has everything I need in a laptop, a burner, a dvd player, and a dvd burner. What else do you need? Equipment-wise, this laptop is perfect. I like the widescreen, makes me feel like I'm at a theater when I'm watching dvd's.

The drawback to this item is the screen visability. I can't see certain colors at certain angles.
