Pros: Small, lightweight, uses standard SD cards, very easy to use! Cons: None, i do not hate anything about this camera.
This is my second digital camera, the first one i had was a Sipix sc3300. This camera is far superior to my old one. I am much more satisfied with this camera than my old one. Now i am not a professional photographer but i just use a digital camera ...
Pros: Large color LCD screen, great price, easy-to-use Cons: Very small view finder
My husband surprised me with a gift - the HP Photosmart M305v Digital Camera. I was ecstatic. I've been wanting a digital camera for two years now, but never had the extra money to buy one. I was so excited that I bypassed the instruction ...
Pros: Easy menu, nice pictures, great price!(with rebate) Cons: Significant red eye!
Caveats, I'm not a professional photographer nor do I have a lot of experience with digital. I have been using those really cheap vga cams, w/o LCD's as I can give them to the kids w/o worry. But when I saw this for $70 (with rebate) I had to buy. It ...
Pros: Lots of room for pictures for email, and lots of settings! Cons: none yet :-)
I purchased this camera as I was looking for an affordable digital that was a little more than just point and shoot. This camera may not look as fancy as many others out there, but it does quite a bit. With several setting variations (macro, ...
Pros: Usability; battery; picture; manual, included lithium batteries Cons: None
I had a fabulous $1000 camera that died and couldn't afford anywhere near the equivalent of it so I put out $100 for this and am pleased with it. I compared it to a friend's Nikon Coolpix 3200 and wow, what a usability difference! The controls are ...
Battery Hog From The Word GO by angelfitz ,Mar 22 '07
Pros: user friendly;
compact;
light Cons: drains batteries like nobody's business (major issue)
bad picture quality for close shots
This camera is easy to use, lightweight and compact, but the picture quality leaves a lot to be desired. Pictures come out grainy. Red eye reduction feature does not work at all. Not good for taking candid pictures of kids, because of the flash lag. The worst problem by far is the battery issue. The camera eats up batteries like nobody's business. The is an issue that really needs to be addressed. I would always have to have at least 3 sets of batteries for any picture taking occasion, and would still be left stranded with drained batteries. This is something that definitely got worse over time. Within one year it had gotten so bad that it a fresh set of batteries were drained, before I even got the chance to take one picture. Needless to say, I was very upset when I was stuck with no camera at my daughter's 3rd birthday party, something that I can never get back are the moments I missed at her party. That is when I threw the camera away and went with another brand, which I am very happy with.
Nice Camera for the price, nice pictures by angel1957 ,Mar 22 '05
Pros: Nice pictures, light sound lets me know it is zooming in and out.Cheap price. Cons: I haven't found none yet.
We bought this Camera about 12 months ago and have been using it like crazy. Our pictures turn out really nice.
I like the small amount of noise it makes to zoom out this lets me know it is zooming in and out.
I can't say nothing bad about this camera but everything good.
Well worth the price I paid for it.
But wish I'd bought a different brand. I was unable to install the software on my computer and HP's "tech support" is laughable. I've also found that all pictures I take with this camera have to be edited in one way or another to make them "photo quality". "Red-eye" seems to be the biggest problem with pictures taken using the flash. Would NEVER buy another HP product simply because of the lack of quality "tech support". Because I have photo editing programs, I am able to get good pictures, but it's annoying to have to "edit" every picture I take!
Its ok, but I would probably go with a different brand. by cclayburn ,Aug 22 '05
Pros: Compact size, neat digital features, easy to learn and use. Cons: Inhales battery power and flash charging at start up takes entirely too long.
This camera was a gift which is greatly appreciated, but if I could have chosen a camera, this wouldn't have been it. It goes through "normal" batteries much too fast. It takes a long time for the flash to charge once you turn it on. I've missed out on many photo ops because I had to wait for the charge. A few seconds can be a lifetime if you're trying to photograph a toddler. The digital zoom is a really cool feature, but the photo quality deteriorates when the digital zoom is used. The memory card is hard to handle as it gets inserted where the batteries are located. I understand the need for a compact camera, but I shouldn't have to take the batteries out to get to my memory card.
Don't buy this camera. I bought it from Wal-mart for action price but it was not worth it. Pictures are grainy and although video IS taking with sound there is still a horrible noise. But what can I do... I bought it....

Nice Camera With A Few Bugs by bel1965 ,Oct 29 '05
Pros: Easy to use Cons: I have to change the batteries after almost every use
I really like this camera but it does have a few minor issues.
While it is very easy to use, make sure you always have extra batteries as it's eats them faster than you can believe. I have a friend with the same camera and the same complaint.
The software is know to occasionally crash my computer (I use Windows XP Home Version) but at the same time it also has some really nice editing tools.
It takes nice pictures and is easy to use if you don't buying batteries in bulk.
Pros: cost, small size, zoom Cons: I have to change batteries after taking 20 pictures, before I even download them.
My first digital camera 5 years ago is and HP. It is only 1 MP but has lasted wonderfully. I bought this camera for my 8 yr old so I would not have to pay to develop bad pictures. She can easily use it. She has figured out all of the basic functions so it is user friendly. I like the zoom on it. The pictures are clear.
My biggest problem is with the batteries. I am not exaggerating when I say I only get 20 pictures out of a set of batteries. I even buy the batteries made for digital equipment. Focus takes awhile if the batteries are not fresh. For that cost alone I might buy another camera. It is small. The set up on XP was easy and the software is good. Not my favorite HP product.
Pros: Easy to use
Reasonably short wait time pictures Cons: Poor Focus
Wrong Exposure
Grainy pictures
I actually had the HP M305e (vs. M305v), which was at an excellent price with rebate. It was very easy to use and had a sensible menu arrangement. I tried a number of pictures and found the focus to be a off in most of them, even using a tripod. This was not always apparent in the LCD, but was pretty obvious on the computer. Exchanged for another. With the new camera, focus was better, but still wrong much of the time. Exposure was frequently wrong in different kinds of indoor light. Out of about 30 pictures taken, perhaps 2 had good focusing, exposure, and color. Returned to store.
