This rear screen projector is very nice indeed. It displays wonderful pictures and the anti glare glass is second to none. Also nice that it has the 5 color arrary guns rather then the normal 3. I have HDTV with this set and it's simply everything it should be. I would highly recommend this set. Hitachi is my fav TV manufacturer after researching for several months and speaking with many other purchasors.

Excellent HDTV monitor, very good picture that is comparable only to $6000-$8000. models. I did a lot of research on all the models released as of January '03 and this model has by far the best bang-bang-for-the-buck. Hook it up to a progressive scan dvd player for an awesome picture. Works great with Xbox too. We paid $2200 plus tax for this TV at REX. The regional VP for REX was the person who sold it to us and we were lucky he was at that store for the day. We compared prices online and the cheapest we seen was $2260 plus a couple hundred for shipping(as of JAN '03).

Best picture as compared with other display sets on sales floors. SWX wide-neck CRT technology appears to make a significant difference in picture quality . . . better picture as compared with Hitachi UWX or peer Toshiba models.
