Pros: large capacity, sleek design, cleaning cartridge included Cons: complete misnomer (and very misleading) as unit makes a helluva racket even on lowest setting
Honeywell QuietCare 4 Gallons (15.1 Liters) Cool Moisture Humidifier Just as people complain of summer weather: its not the heat, its the humidity, my beef with winter is simply the converse: its not the cold, ...

Pros: really hydrates well.... Cons: noise noise noise
Living here at the northern New Jersey shore for almost 10 years, I've come to the realization that a humidifier is a must in the dry Sahara type winters that we tend to get..I use to think it was my heaters fault, but after breaking bread with a few ...

Why I bought it I just bought this humidifier two days ago and I would say that it helps a lot especially now when it feels like winter in October... I was going to get the Hunter Humidifier, but Home Depot didn't sell it at my place... ...

Love/Hate
by seltzergirl ,Mar 22 '06
Pros: while it worked, it was wonderful Cons: horrible horrible noises.
I purchased one of these in the Fall of 2005, because I suffer terribly from the dry winters here in NYC. Right away I loved it. Yes it made a "white noise", but I was able to sleep through it. This winter I had **no** colds or flu, **no** sinus problems and even my skin felt much better. I was telling everyone I knew to buy one.
Then a few weeks ago, it began making these horrible squawking noises. Sometimes it would squawk for several minutes when I turned it on. Sometimes it would start squawking in the middle of the night. I guess I will have to call customer support but I am not looking forward to that.

This is hardly a Quiet Humidifier
by dbr022664 ,Jan 12 '08
Pros: Nice Marketing and packaging Cons: Need to replace filters, noisy and appears to blow the moist air toward the floor.
They have to be kidding. This thing was noisy on all speeds. They recommend it for Bedrooms and it woke me several times when the Hydrometer turned it on.
I'm bringing mine back and looking for an ultrasonic.....That seems to be the quietest of all.

Base of humidifier leaks water
by bbc1953 ,Dec 27 '05
Pros: Good capacity, streamlined design for use on table or floor, digital controls, moderate price Cons: Base leaks water
I bought this humidifier after considering several other brands & styles. I liked the capacity & the digital controls. Another Honeywell model (no longer available)was well-reviewed, so I hoped this one would work well, too. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The design seems to be faulty. The plastic exterior of the base is open &, as soon as I started it running, water started dripping out of the base! Although there is a note in the instruction manual that states, "Place the humidifier on a water-resistant surface, as water can damage furniture and some flooring. Kaz will not accept responsibility for property damage caused by water spillage," I assumed this meant if the humidifier was used incorrectly. As far as I could tell, I was using it correctly. It seems to me that most people would be using this humidifier on either a table or floor. I can't imagine that either surface would deal well with repeated wetting. Therefore, I determined that this model would not work well for me. Back to the drawing board!

Honeywell Humidifier
by skygirlvon ,Dec 29 '07
Pros: Can't think of any. Cons: Loud, blows nothing but cold air; no mist put into the air.
This was my Fourth humidifier I bought and it too had to go back to the store. It was loud on the high setting, but manageable on the medium setting. I thought being that it was a Honeywell product that it would be great or at least okay, but it failed. After being on for only about an hour the temperature in my bedroom dropped 3 degrees. There was no mist coming out of the unit only COLD air. Plus the air comes out the side of the unit verses the top which makes no sense to me. Looking for a good humidifier I would recommend passing on this one.
