Pros: Powerful light-weight vacuum, good on oriental carpets and bare floors. Cons: Strap difficult to install.
I looked at a variety of vacuums in stores around our area, including a specialty vacuum shop at which they attempted to sell me a $600 model, before I found this unit only. The C2094 is a portable from Hoover's commercial line, but it works quite ...

Good power for a 8 lbs, 7.4 amp vacuum
by superticker2 ,Oct 22 '04
Pros: Very good suction power for an 8 pound portable unit w/shoulder strap. Cons: Not as powerful as larger 12 ampere floor models. No rotating powerbush.
*Excellent* power for a small 8 pound unit with an 7.4 ampere motor. Very pleased with it. It also has the capacity to blow as well as suck. It comes with a shoulder strap so you can run around while vacuuming. This unit comes with a cloth bag (It's not bagless as some suggested.). However, you can purchase an optional adapter kit (Hoover Model# HVR-4010050N) so it works with disposable Hoover Type N bags (Hoover Model# HVR-4010038N). GoVacuum carries both.

Good for Bare Floors & Low Pile Carpet
by jfetters ,Jul 02 '08
Pros: Easy to use
Long Cord
Metal extensions
Should strap
Cloth filter Cons: Bad on regular residential carpet
If you have low pile carpet and/or wood, cement, linoleum or other types of bare floors this will work fine. As other reviewers have stated it does not have any beating brushes so it will not attempt to lift the dirt but instead will depend strictly on suction power which is sufficient for such a small machine.
Tried it on our 'regular', residential carpet and it worked ok but did not pick up anything of significant size (IOW lint) even though we put considerable effort to making sure the vacuum portion was even with the floor.

Pros: Light weight, works good Cons: There are alot of attachments that you can lose easily.
Great vacuum if you are in the cleaning business. I use it almost daily. It works great on hardwood, tile and stairs. Also it is good for getting pet hair off floors. It's a great vacuum. Most commerical cleaning companys use it.

Excellent Fur Buster
by djpeck ,Oct 16 '05
Pros: Price, durability, good quality tools, suction. Cons: Tool storage.
How many vacuums have I been through with two Australian Shepherds in and out of the house. Both of my dust mops are capable of projectile shedding.
No more beater bars to clean. No more burned up belts. Long range cord. Good suction. Good capacity. Quiet. Tidy disposal with the paper bag option. And moderately priced.
I may even stop sneezing soon.

Professional cleaning people use this
by bzmomof3 ,Aug 20 '08
Pros: Great suction and light to carry Cons: Strap is pretty thin with no padding
I am just placing an order for this because my cleaning people use it every day in their business and love it. I have new hardwood floors that I'm trying not to scratch and there is just too much area to broom sweep (and my 3 kids are too messy!) I really wanted something portable for the carpeted stairs, hauling the heavy upright makes this job the worst. The cleaners used their last PortaPower up in 4 years of almost daily and constant use and feel like they definitely got their money's worth since it is so much less expensive than other commercial use vacuums. The cleaners use it on tile bathroom floors and it fits easily under our sofa and other furniture. I can't wait to use it on the car, so much easier to get around with than a shop vac and many more attachment tools. The local vacuum repair guy has serviced it a few times for them (remember they use it all day long) and says it's the only one worth having since the parts are still all metal. I think I might fit mine with a better padded luggage strap.
