Pros: removed static shock from whole house; noticeably improved dry air; excellent tech support experience
Cons: bigger house would require one of the optional bigger nozzles; long term damage?
Summary: Dry skin and static shocks throughout the house led us to look for a better humidified this past winter. We also wanted something that did not need frequent maintenance and for that reason wanted something that didn't contain a wicking filter that would ... read more

Pros: The price was worth one season and the ease of installation made it convenient.
Cons: The possible internal damage and destruction doesn't justify the cheap price.
Summary: I bought this at a large hardware chain store on the advice of a 'specialist' in the department. The price was more than reasonable and, at first thought, it seemed to be a most reasonable way to control the humidity in my new house. Everything seemed to ... read more

Pros: Cheap (relatively) and easy to install. Great results the first winter or so.
Cons: Spray nozzle gets clogged with lime and doesn't mist. Then the damage starts.
Summary: Bought mine at Home Depot 3 years ago. Should tell you something that they don't carry it any more. Worked fine until last spring, when the transformer finally failed. When I bought a new transformer, it still didn't work right. I took it apart and ... read more

Summary: This is easy to install and maintain. This unit took me about 15 min. to install. It gives off enough moisture to do a great job. Figure on changing the nozzle every year to insure good performance. I'm using this in my second house now and swear by ... read more
