Pros: Excellent cleaning, multiple types of filtration, long filter life, built-in timer, high quality Cons: Cost, size, possible repurification of air, location limitations, energy consumption, low airflow
|Introduction| My girlfriend often makes fun of me for how much research I do when making a major purchase but enjoys the benefits of getting good quality products. And of all of the purchases Ive made, the research for a new ...
Filter: The filter on the IQAir will filter microns to 0.003, which is the size of viruses. Most HEPA filters air at about 0.3 microns, which some could argue is all most of us need in our homes. If you run the machine about 10 hours a day at setting 3 ...
Quick take: The IQAir HealthPro is the expensive king of air purifiers. Background: I am one of those unfortunate people who suffers from serious allergies of many kinds. When tested for allergies, the nurses gathered around my arm to admire the size ...
Pros: Filters to 0.003 microns. Efficiency 99.5%
IQAir Customer Service very quick and professional. Cons: Large noisy unit. We bought from Allergy Control Products. Customer service terrible, unprofessional.
I have severe allergies to dust, pollen and anything that blooms in Spring. This means that I am completely house bound for 4 months! We have tried with some success other types of air purifications system. All seem to help even to a limited ...
Pros: quality, company provides specifications, effectiveness Cons: size, cost
My daughter has a serious case of sleep apnea which we know is aggravated by common allergies to pollen. We also live less than a mile from the freeway, so I was concerned about diesel exhaust particles in the air. I did a lot of research on ...
I owned this product for just a week and it was enough for me to understand how useless it is. I let it run on the 3rd speed for 24 hours a day for about 5 days. Every morning when the sun shines through the window I would visually check the amount of ...
Pros: maybe the more effective solution than less expensive common HEPAs Cons: Pricy, and still limited effectiveness, little help or demonstrated concern from IQ Air themselves.
I purchased the IQ Air plus, fully loaded with all the filter elements, including the V5 odor and gas. I've had this unit just under 2 years, and have also gone thru 4 sets of pre filter, 3 sets of V5, and one HEPA filter. The cost of course is high, ...
Yes! No more chunky air or puffy eyes by flifish ,Jan 19 '06
Pros: 1.allergy symptoms nearly gone within days 2. really cuts odors 3. seems well made Cons: machine and the filter replacement is expensive
I bought the IQAir HealthPro Plus because for two years I have got up in the morning feeling terrible with allergy face, drastically puffy eyes, nose, and even lips. After trying many allergy and sinus medications, and taking them daily, finally gave in and bought this item.
I have only had it for 5 days and already feeling better. No more puffy faced sneezing mornings and have only taken medication once (a very windy day)this week. I thought with our vaulted ceilings, 3 pets, and log house country living (dusty) it would take at least week or more to notice any major improvements. However, there was a noticed difference in our chunky air the first day. You know when you look into a ray of sunshine how you can see particles floating in the air. Within 6 hours the floating particles were cut in half even with our tall vaulted ceilings and now i notice virtually no floating particles.
Noise: Barely audible on on fan levels 1-3. On 6, the highest fan level, it sounds similar to a window air conditioner.
Portable: so/so, waist high but has castors for rolling and with top handle i can carry upstairs
IQ Air HeathPro Plus from PurifiersPro by mommake ,Oct 08 '05
Pros: My children are sleeping better, and I have to take them to the doctor less. Cons: I was concerned about the expense at first; it has proven to be worth it!
This product has made a big difference in our lives! Both of my boys have asthma and allergies. They are now sleeping better and have less frequent attacks.
The guy at www.purifierpro.com spent an hour on the phone with me to make sure I got the right purifier for our needs. This unit is perfect for upstairs. My husband and I are going to buy an air purifier for downstairs next month. I will definitely call them back to buy another IQ Air.
