Top quality component speaker. They hit hard and are very accurate. Compared to Pioneer 4ways, these speakers are in a different league.
Use only with an amp making at least 50rms. Anything less, especially from the headunit is not doing them justice.

One of the greatest component systems I've ever owned.
The tweeters let the highs scream as loud as you want them to with absolutely no distortion. just imagine a 16 year old female screaming at the top of her lungs. The -3db option is something your definitely going to want to use with the tweeters. The beauty of the woofers is seen depending on your music genre. If you listen to rock music, it's a perfect setup, but if you listen to rap the system needs to be complimented by at least a small amped Subwoofer. I have these speakers installed in a 98' subura legacy unamped; My buddy has them installed in a 91 Jeep cherokee amped at 75watts RMS which is just under the speakers 90watts RMS capabilities, no matter what you install them in amped or unamped, these things will amaze your ears.

Well, I bought these new off of ebay for $100 + shipping. The Tweeters are incredible. Very amazing highs. crossover is nice too. Use the -3db setting on the crossover if you mount them up high, I had to turn the treble WAY down at first. That brings us to the woofers. I think they put out very impressive, low and smooth bass. Very accurate. My only complaint is the Mid frequency. They really lack clarity and seperation of things like voices and snare drums. It sort of gets blended in with all the other music. For example, on bose speakers the voices jump out at you and even the snare drum feels like its hitting you. Not with these. I did discover that the more power you put to them, the better they will sound. Running a minimum 40 watts rms did the trick. But still, I am happy. You cant beat the highs though.
