Pros: clear high notes, aimable tweeter, full mids, and good bass. Very loud as well. Cons: installation is a little rough
Overview The 6002i speakers are a 2 way 'full range' speaker designed with a 6.5" midrange and an attached tweeter. I have no love for infinity audio, but got such a great deal on them ($59 new) that I couldn't justify buying a low end speaker ...
Pros: Amazing clarity, beautiful sound Cons: Needs amp to produce filling bass
After I got these speakers installed all I could think about was to get here and fill out my opinion on these. I forced myself to wait until I had heard a number of different types of music through them so I could accurately judge them for you. Here ...
Pros: Phenomenally good highs Cons: Average mid-bass and no low-end frequency response
I have a pair of these in my 99 Jetta III right now, bought for $99.99 at Circuit City and I have mixed feelings about them. Yes, they perform phenomenally loud, but only if you don't push too much bass through them. I'm running them without ...
Pros: clearest sound for the price Cons: bass isn't incredible, 4 screw mounting setup only
For those of you looking for high quality sound at a great price, you have come to the right place. The infinity 6002i can easily be found at discount prices; they are about $70 on ebay, and Crutchfield Electronics always seems to have them on some sort ...
These speakers won't spend Infinity in my car... by scotbhs ,Jan 16 '07
Pros: They fit in my car Cons: Shallow low end, constantly sound like they are bottoming out
I drive a 07 Camry and installed Polk db 6x9 in the rear dash, they didn't allow the trunk to open properly so I installed the Infinity 6002I. As a return Infinity customer I thought these speakers would rock, unfortunately I have been sadly disappointed with the performance of these speakers. After side by side comparison in my car of the two speakers the Polk's leave the Infinity's in the dust. If you have a choice go Polk.
Pros: Clean sound, enough bass, good accessory for installing. Have no problem, Fast delivery Cons: Buy in the same state FL had to pay tax.
I just got 2 set of these speakers from Hookedontronics they deliver on the 14 Dec 04 and I got it the same day. This result after days of study about the speakers before getting the best out there. I went to Walmart to test out the Sony Xplo, Pioneer 180, 220. Then check with Target they only have those Jensen. I went to Bestbuy too. They have those Dual, Sony, Pioneer, and couple other name. Those sound ok but was not appeal to my taste.
So finally I am taking a chance with Infinity 6002I.
The speakers sound best on my Honda Odysey 96 EX model with JVC SH99 receiver. I found other reviewer has not happy with base but my head unit has base booster control. The speakers really rumble on my old van. On the high note the sound is crispy clean. I really enjoy them. I would recommend these speakers. I would not know what you are missing if you are getting other type. The best of all are not make in China. (if you in the US then very difficult to escape Chinese low quality products)
Pros: clarity, range, price, versatility. more bass than expected in a 6.5" speaker. Cons: None for this size speaker.
Installed 4 6.5's in my 2000 Cherokee Sport, replacing the 5.25 factory speakers. Along with an Alpine head unit and an Alpine 50x4 amp, these speakers sound unbelievable. The biggest surprise is the range. Very crisp highs and penetrating mids. Because I value my cargo space, I did not want to get into installing a sub and additional amp...unless you want the person across the intersection feeling your bass, there is no need at all for a sub with these speakers. I had originally purchased the 5.25's to replace the factory speakers and I was very disappointed with the sound. I would recommend that if your vehicle has factory 5.25's or smaller, take the extra time to drill, cut, and fit these 6.5's. I only had to drill 2 holes total to install these 6.5's. It is well worth the upgrade.
Best thing was that I got them for buy a pair, get 1/2 off second pair!! $150 for 4 speakers. Can't beat it.
Pros: sound, nice looking, strong Cons: none at all
If you have a compact or sub compact car where your only option for rear speakers is 6 1/2 size then these are your speakers.I got mine at sound domain.com as they will beat anybodys low price on the web.I had a pair of Kenwoods but always got distortion in high sound levels and crappy bass response when listening to something like the Beastie Boys where you need some adequate bass. After reading many reviews I thought I'd give them a shot.Let me say, I've had polk, pioneer, alpines, and Jensens in larger sizes that never sounded as good as the gems! Wow, they are amazing and so clear at every volume! Its worth it to get some dynamat or sound insulators when installing because in heavy bass songs you can get some vibration on small cars. So, for anyone looking to replace your factory radio that sucks get these speakers and pair them with a Pioneer deh-1600 receiver and you will have premium sound without the premium price!Get Some Infinities and Rock on.
Bought a pair for the rears in my del sol. I plan to get the fronts soon. I was going to get an infinity component system for the front, but i am confident that these will sound just as good. I am running these with a Sony cd reciever putting out 23W RMS to all four, but I think that for the front i am going to power them with an Alpine Amplifier, like a 50W x 2 or something.
Great Sound Quality - Great Durability by nick2442 ,Nov 16 '03
Pros: Great Highs, and good range. No distortion. Great durability, All-Around Quality Speakers. Cons: Not much. Bass maybe? But still not bad.
I bought these speakers used, from a friend. One of the speakers had a fairly big crack in the cone, but the other was fine. When I got them home, I hooked them up to my small amp (30W RMS), and both of them sounded great, the cracked one didnt even sound any worse than the good one! I put some silicone on the crack, to ensure no further breakage, and they work great. I only paid 20$ for the pair, and they sound awesome.
About the sound quality, I bought them to replace the speakers in a `98 Jeep Wrangler, and put them in the soundbar. The Highs are great, mids are good, the bass is good also, but I keep the bass down a little on the head unit to make sure I dont hurt the speaker. I am using an old Sony head unit, 35Wx4, to power them, and they sound wonderful. I play anything from Country to Punk to the Oldies and everything sounds great.
Great Investment for All Levels of Interest by nickg1215 ,Oct 14 '03
Pros: -Great power
-Great range
-Sounds great when cranked to the max
-Angled tweeter Cons: -Not much, except maybe bass(that's why you have to buy subs)
I bought these speakers to upgrade the front speakers on my 1997 Chevy Blazer, and I absolutely love 'em. These speakers added a whole new dimension to my music. Before my speakers would wimp out for the harder rock like Disturbed or Trapt, but now they handle everything with ease. The only thing that's bothered me is I'm worried about ruining them by putting the bass up to the max, which is why I'm buying a sub now. Bottom line, these speakers are excellent. If you are looking to buy a great pair of speakers to upgrade a factory system or even an after-market system, look no further than Infinity!
Pros: YOU CAN AIM TWEETER, PRICE Cons: PAID 99 BUCKS AT LOCAL DEALER COULD HAVE GOT THEM CHEAPER ONLINE
LOVE THESE SPEAKERS GOT THESE IN THE BACK OF MY CAR AND INFINITY 6010CS COMP. SPEAKERS IN FRONT. THEY SOUND SO GO I WISH I HAD JUST GOT 2 PAIRS INSTEAD OF THE 6010CS. AS FAR AS OTHER REVIEWERS SAYING THEY LACK BASS THESE ARE NOT SUBS THERE 6.5 THERE NOT MAID FOR BASE THERE PURPOSE IS CLEAN CRISP HIGHS AND MIDS. IF YOU GET THESE SPEAKERS USE AN OUTSIDE AMP NOT JUST YOUR HEAD UNIT IF YOU WANT TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THESE AWSOME SPEAKERS. FOR THE MONEY HARD TO BEAT.
