Initial IDM-9520 4.2 in. Portable DVD Player

Pros: Small, plays tons of stuff, convinient
Cons: tiny screen, noisy motor, needs remote to really work well

I got one of these last year for my birthday. I paid closer to 180, but times change : ) It’s a really good player in some ways and in some it’s less than perfect. THE GOOD: 1. Plays damn near EVERYTHING. Plays MP3s, CDR, VCD, burned DVDs ...

Pros: size
Cons: Poor picture, volume and customer satisfaction

This is my SECOND player. The first time I thought I receive a lemon so I took it back and received another. Well within 8 months the SAME thing happened (very faint picture). Now I have a 8 month old player and I am expected to pay 39.00 for labor to repair.When I know this is a problem that will arise again. Not happy with this player or manufacturer.

Pros: Picture quality and features are excellent.
Cons: Road/motor noise make it almost impossible to hear in a moving car.

I haven't owned this player for long, but so far I am VERY satisfied. I have watched 20 or 30 movies on it. It's very convenient for the gym, or the road...virtually ANYWHERE. I can even plug it in to my TV, and has MANY MORE features than my full size Sony DVD player and even plays VCD's.


I was worried that a 4.2 screen would be too small, but even with my poor vision, I can can view it comfortably.
