Pros: Works with Linux, Mac and Win32; (rechargeable) AA battery, belt clip Cons: No memory card expandability, uses a cable to connect to the PC
What to expect from this review We all have different needs and expectations from an mp3 player or any other device. Some want 1GB storage, some others prefer an arm band for jogging with it strapped on, and so forth. This is why I am rather ...
Pros: Small and easy to use. Long battery life. Excellent sound (with your own ear gear). Cons: Included earbuds lack bass.
The Irock 830 MP3 Player has 128MB of internal memory, which is approximately two hours of playback for 128kbps bitrate mp3 files. There is no expansion slot for a memory card; but, 128Mb seems more than adequate for any full Music CD or two, or a ...
Pros: MP3 and WMA compatible, FM radio player, excellent battery life. Cons: Don't expect to load your entire music library on it.
In a world of 60-gig iPods that can hold seemingly endless amounts of songs, is there much relevance to a puny little MP3 player with a thin 128 megabytes of memory that is good for only a few dozen songs? Well, yes in fact. Truth of the matter is, I ...
Pros: Excellent sound quality, reliable, low power consumption, intuitive controls, supported by Jukebox software. Cons: No rewind or fast forward (this is standard for this class of device)
Other reviews on Epinions cover the technical details more than adequately. From a user perspective, this player is well worth the $80 I paid for a refurbished unit directly from IRock. It works flawlessly, uses very little power, loads rapidly, and is ...
Its a little rocket in a pocket!!! by walcaraz ,Dec 16 '03
Pros: Everything Cons: None
This MP3 Player is about the size of a credit card (smaller) but packs a punch with its sound and memory. Purchasing this product was a great investment.. If your looking for a great MP3 Player at a great price this is for you!!!!
Pros: Very small, easy to navigate, loooooong battery life, and great sound(with own earbuds) Cons: No resume function
I'm a student so I'm always waiting for the bus or walking someplace, and i decided to get an mp3 player. I bought the iRock because is was a good buy for it's specs. With an FM tuner and 128mb capacity, i always have plenty of options as to what i want listen to. I bought it approx two months ago, and i still haven't had the need to replace the battery! I'm shocked at how long it's battery life is! I payed $88.50 for it online (including shipping). It's smaller than a business card and extremely light. It also comes with a very handy case, which protects it from damage and also provides a belt clip for convenience. My only complaint is that i wish it had a resume option when you turn it back on after listening.
Pros: size, sound, FM tuner, software, random play, bright and clear display, price, battery life Cons: none
Arrived yesterday, got 32 songs downloaded last night. Very easy software to use. And the time to download songs went fast. Only a few hrs into it and loving it. Working in an office its great to have something that can fit in my shirt pocket. Excellent sound too, huge sound for such a small player. Switching to the FM is a great bonus as well. I searched the web long and hard to find the right player for me. This has met all my expectations. A highly recommended player for anyone looking to get their feet wet in the mp3 game. 30 plus songs, radio, this is plenty for me. I got exactly what I wanted.
design flaws cause mine to break down by wmoeur ,Jul 26 '04
Pros: inexpensive, uses AA battery, back-lit LCD Cons: poor switch design, no resume/bookmark function, no control of LCD light
This is the first mp3 unit I bought. Here are a couple of design flaws. 1: the same button is used to fast forward and change songs. Once a little dirt got into the switch, it would no longer fast forward, but only change songs. This problem can be addressed through software by not allowing the unit to change songs while one is playing. 2: Once the unit is turned off it forgets what it was playing. The company says they will address this issue in the next firmware upgrade. Still waiting. 3: fast-forward is too slow. Other brands use a variable speed fast-forward that would be nice on this unit. 4: the LCD light comes on every time you perform a function whether you need it or not, thus dramatically reducing lifetime of battery. 5: If the user pauses a song, he has very little time before the unit shuts itself off and forgets what it was doing. A longer pause time would be nice.
Price thats hard to beat by shoppingman8 ,Feb 14 '04
Pros: Awesome......battery life, ease of use, backlight, and song titles. Cons: No AM tuner :(
So i was looking for a good MP3 player that was cheap, but was also pretty good. Since I had an older version of Irock (530 series) i wondered if they had came out with a newer model, and sure enough they had, a few as a matter of fact. So i decided to try it out, and that was a really good choice because it is awesome. It saves space and is really easy to carry. So far (knock on wood) i havent noticed any problems with it.
