JBL Rocks
by salehunter ,Nov 28 '04
Pros: Excellent Sound Cons: Very Large Sub-Woofer
The JBL 6.1 speaker system is awesome! I purchased the speakers with a Yamaha 5740 6.1 receiver from Best Buy for a $299 package price after rebates and it passed the test on Fast and Furious and Saving Private Ryan movies. The bass from the sub-woofer is tight and will disturb your neighbors if your not careful.

Bang for the Buck!!
by leelpc04 ,Jun 16 '05
Pros: clear accurate sound even at high volume levels Cons: no crossover/ phase on sub and limited mounting options.
Great sounding speakers. These very easily are comparable to much more expensive speakers, ie infinity, polk, bose. I have a medium size room and these fill that with sound without breaking a sweat. No distortion at very loud volumes. I would recommend a receiver with sub crossover select and phase select. Only downside is limited mounting options as these are only compatible with mounts and stands designed for them.

Dont hesitate

Pros: Size and sound. Cons: Center just a little off for my liking.
If you have a room that is small to medium then I would not hesitate. These baby's rock. I am running a Yamaha RVx 1400 / 110x7 watts per channel. These sound really good. If you think that you need better speakers then go blow your money. I will say that I did upgrade the center, WHY?? well I do think that the center is a little lacking. I bought the JBL N center which I just love. The system that I run is perfect for ANY movie. I do not listen to music with these. I use other speakers for that. If you are looking for a good system with great sound then don't worry these will do what ever you ask.
