Last JVC I'll own
by jmhart ,Aug 16 '06
Pros: Good picture and sound. Cons: Outside interference. Auto program doesn'
t work right. No battery backup for power outages.
The unit picks up interference from my treadmill during tape playback and messes up the TV picture. The unit I'm trying to replace (also a JVC) does not have the problem. JVC sent me a replacement unit but it does the same thing. I can't return it since I don't have the original unit. JVC customer service says it isn't a defect and won't help past replacing the unit again. The auto function didn't work - I had to manually program the stations. It does not have a backup battery like the unit I have now. If the power just blinks, you have to reprogram the unit. If this is the quality of JVC now, don't buy a JVC.
