I went for this particular brand, because I wanted the VCR tape indexing feature that I had on a prior JVC VCR. It marks the tape where you start recording, and you can go forward or back one or more index marks. It's a very convenient feature....

I bought my player last spring and have not experienced any problems. Setup was easy enough. However, my complaint is with the remote control layout. There is nothing intuitive about it, and it appears to have been an afterthought. Why they would place the TV on/off and volume in the middle of the remote, exactly the same size and shape as the other buttons that surround them, is beyond me.

I think this a wonderful buy. Not many people can come up with such great idems for the home or work place. It proformed quite well and all I wish is that it was smaller. It was one of the best product I have ever used. I would recommend this to all my friends.
