Pros: JL Brand Quality - Incredible SQ - Sexy Aesthetics Cons: Pricey (but understandable) - A bit more speaker putty would be nice (very minor complaint)
I was in search of the best coaxials that would fit my 02 Mustang without the need for adapter brackets (e.g. 6 1/2"s). Everyone that's into car audio knows JL Quality. Prices are rather high for this brand, but you know that 'ol saying, "You get what-cha pay for". That is true in this case as well. Clean highs, Thump'in Mids & Lows, and the attractive functional cross-overs finish 'em off nicely. Oh, if you are installing these speakers in a "free-air" environment be sure to pick up some XTC foam baffles for improved "boxed-like" sound and speaker protection from moisture etc. Finally, when people ask what cha got in the car (minus the subs) you have your bragging rights when arrogantly mentioning, "Yeah, I just got these "little" JL XR's... Muh-hahahahah.
Pros: Sounds like you have an eight inch woofer in the doors, clean clean highs Cons: There not in the house
Quality built speaker not too over sized, fits in many types of cars. Has a nice crossover. tweeter is clean and clear.can handle loud music for a long period of time. If you have the money buy these you can't go wrong .
