Horrible!
by zomup ,Aug 25 '08
Pros: Looks great, has warming drawer Cons: Heats unevenly, no small heating unit on cooktop
This is the worst range I've ever seen. On conventional bake, it takes at least 18 minutes to preheat and then bakes unevenly. On convection it also is uneven and doesn't seem to be any faster baking. Cookies that usually take 10 minutes take at least 15 and tend to be doughy in the middle. We adjusted the thermostat(this can be done by the consumer) up 25 degrees and that helped but didn't cure the problems. After baking something at 375, I wanted to bake something else at 350. When I lowered the setting, the temp shot up to 450 and stayed there. I had to shut off the oven and let it cool before I could continue. The cooktop has only large burners in the front, so if you're using a small pot, you have to put it on the back burner which makes it hard to see into. On top of all this, it's a pretty expensive appliance. I want my good old GE back!

I sent this one back to Sears!
by colleen832 ,Sep 13 '08
Pros: attractive, warming drawer Cons: everything else
I hated this range. It took 20 min to preheat! It has a smooth shiny panel protecting the buttons at the front of the stove, and it needs to be wiped off frequently due to fingerprints, which isn't a problem, but if you dont go to the additional trouble of locking the panel before you wipe it, every button you touch goes on and beeps! Luckily I bought it at Sears and they were willing to take it back. I exchanged it for a similar model by Electrolux. It was a few hundred more, but I just LOVE it, the best stove I ever owned!
