Pros: detachable numerics/
great palmrest, angle, price/
short mouse distance/
great for lefties& righties/
reliable keys Cons: fixed angle
This keyboard is great if you use all fingers for typing. I tried about 15 different "ergonomic" keyboards (even the ones where you can define your own angle (real expensive stuff) before I found this one. I still have "wave keyboards" (similar to the...
Pros: Movable numpad, spacious, built-in wrist rests Cons: not for small hands, rests are hard plastic
If you play shooters or have big hands, this should be your next keyboard.
For those of us whose fingers need a little more real estate, the Acer Future is a godsend. The keys are a bit more widely spaced than on most keyboards -- even other...
I've had this keyboard for 5+ years. I mainly use it at work. I am a sys admin, so I do a tremendous amount of typing and mousing. This keyboard is a godsend. I've owned many other keyboards, but I always go back to this one.
Absolutely the best keyboard ever made by hwyhobo ,Feb 10 '06
Pros: Light touch, perfect angles. Cons: None I can think of.
I bought this keyboard a few years ago to alleviate issues related to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It is superbly ergonomic, keys are light, angles are perfect. I can't understand why Acer would discontinue this keyboard. If you find it on Ebay new or like-new condition, buy it.
don't forget the arrow keys an thumb pad by iamhhawaii ,Jan 16 '04
Pros: best ergo design out for qwert
arrow keys within finger reach
removable num pad Cons: Doesn't look like Acer is making any more.
No USB version.
Price.
Sure the ergo quality of this keyboard far surpasses others, but the main reason I switched to it was for the arrow keys. I work in text editors a lot and do a lot of typing and editing and found it extremely annoying to have to remove one of my hands from the key boars so that I could move the cursor around. Well with this little baby the arrow keys (and optional touchpad) are within thumbs reach, allowing you to type and move around seamlessly. Also the removable num pad was great as my desktop space is precious to me and I have no need for all those duplicated buttons.
I give this keyboard a Huge thumbs up!!. I just wish they made a USB version of it to keep up with the changing times.
