Pros: Nice looking, comfortable, 2 USB ports. Cons: Keys fall out, lasts few months, company gives no refund, must pay S&H for replacements.
A year ago I bought Macally IceKEY keyboard at MacMall. Now Im up to replacing it for the 5th (fifth) time. The first two had the same problem, a random key would fall off, one which was rarely used. They each lasted about a month or two once ...

Pros: The only full keyboard available with laptop light touch. It's fantastic. Cons: Needs a power button far more than cd eject.
Think of the difference in pressure required between a felt tip pen and a ballpoint pen, or a manual typewriter compared to an electric. I'd grown to hate pounding at my G3 after using a work laptop for over a year. This keyboard is the perfect solution,...

suits my needs

Pros: slim, crisp and responsive Cons: none I am aware of
After buying my iBook, I already had an external monitor I wanted to use and needed a quality keyboard. After looking around I settled on the Icekey keyboard and haven't been let down with it since it arrived. It takes a little getting used to, but the key response is exceptionally crisp and has a wonderful feel to it. So many keyboards today are made cheap and have the cheap response too. This one is worth the extra money, the two usb ports are an extra bonus.
If you're looking for a keyboard that you can spend hours working on and not get that cramp from spongy keyboards, this is a great choice. Scissor keys are a common feature with laptops nowadays and I hope to see them used in more keyboards soon.

Pros: Sweet to use. Stays clean. Super service with pleasant discourse. Short stroke makes work faster. Cons: None
My Macally iceKEY slimline keyboard is now out of 3 year guarantee and it looks and feels like it did the the the day I bought it. Its white yet the keys have not marked at all. And no greasy-ness. Meanwhile it has had a box of books dropped upon it which broke both feet - no other damage. I made some replacement feet which worked ok but could have looked nicer. However I need not have bothered because when I approached Macally they promptly sent replacement feet without delay for a few pence.
I bought it after seeing it top of the test in Mac User Mag.
The short stroke, soft click, silent, clear keys are the very best I have seen - A joy to use after The Mac keyboard.
The keys are real switches - not membrane.
It does not seem to mind where its U.S.B. plug is plugged in.
The price is low for this perfection.

best darn keyboard ever
by jigmeg ,Dec 14 '03
Pros: nice feel. full size keyboard and numpad. usb ports at both ends, cable in middle. Cons: cant find the insert on/off key.
i've got a sony tr1a and an icurve stand and this keyboard and love it. the action on the keys they say is scissor like...dont know what that means but it reminds me of original ibm keyboards long ago when quality was important and tactile feel was in. responsive, attractive, and space-saving, plus it's white and beautiful. i feel like i have an imac setup without the hassles of owning a mac.
