Kiss Technology DP-450 DVD Player

Pros: the ONLY DVD player compatible with DIVX at the moment
Cons: better wait for a few product generations to get all the bugs sorted out...

Pros: xvid, divx, AC3, DTS, S/VCD, CD-RW; component video; progressive scan
Cons: Expensive, compatibility with CD-Rs

After 3 months of use I have these observations

1) Firmware has been updated twice since delivery, which is a good thing since they're mostly fixes/patches.

2) No support of VobSub subtitles, can support basic subtitles such as those with file extension .srt

3) Not very tolerant of variations in CD-Rs. Computer can read TDK CD-Rs that I burned but DP-450 has trouble reading some of them.

4) Cannot playback quarterpel encoded movies
