Pros: Efficiency, price, soundstage, depth and presence. Cons: Grills are a bit fragile as are the feet. Only comes in Black.
I recently traded up from the Klipsch SF-2 (see my other review) as these were lowered in price just after I purchased the SF-2's. Though the SF-2 is an incredible speaker these are much higher quality and I am glad I made the trade up.
Pros: A speaker with excellent LIVE sound. Crystal clear! Cons: Mids are weak and bass just so so.
Build
These speakers are well constructed. Cabinet is very solid and look great. I will say however, that the grille design is really lousy and the plastic tabs that hold the grilles on, easily can break off. Also, the Klipsch logos on both...
Pros: high quality, loud and crisp sounds Cons: bulky feet..none otherwise
If you need some relatively decently priced front speakers, this is it. It packs quite a punch, however it is a clean punch. Even at high volumes, these speakers never cease to amaze you. It will be clear at all volumes, delivering efficient high...
Pros: AMAZING SOUND!! Crisp,Clear and can really deliver a "Punch"!! Cons: Pricey!!
I have owned my Klipsch RF-3's for about a year and a half now!! I listen to these speakers EVERYDAY!! The sounds quality is amazing. With a stylish black look, these speakers can be placed anywhere. At the top of the box, is a brass tweater that...
Outstanding, clean rich tight sound by kluken ,Dec 03 '03
Pros: tight clean sound,Love those copper colored drivers
very efficient, needs very little power Cons: lows are a little weak, not as deep as I would like
bought the complete Ref 35 setup, with RF-35s up front, RC-35 and RS-35s for surrounds, but due to space went with RS-25 for rear backs. My sub is an SVS 20-39 PC+ so I did not audition the Klipsch subs. I listened to Polk, Infinity and Mirage as well and the Klipsch were by far the cleanest of the bunch. The sound was so tight and clean extremely well defined, not hint of any distortion and I really pounded these speakers set to large with large volume in a large room. I am very happy with them and the excellent accurate clean undistorted sound they provide. Never a hint of fatigue or inaccurate sound.
I would easily recommend these to anyone as the complete 7 speakers cost me just over $2000 and they sound great.
Working in the retail end... by dusty_dt3001 ,Jan 28 '03
Working in the retail end of the spectrum for over a year now it took some time for me to decide on what I wanted to take home for myself. I finally (afer about 3 months of heavy comparison shoping) decided on the Klipsch Refernce 3 line. Once I got them home the experience has been unbelievalbe, I have a tough time listening to any other line at work now. The only thing that I did not like about the Klipsch line was that I wanted a 6.1 setup and wanted to use a RS-3 dipolar speaker for my surround back and found that you can only buy this amazing speaker in pairs. That was disapointing but the overall performance of this system with my Denon avr1803 reciever and Definitive technologies SuperCube I has absolutely bolwn me away. I suggest these speakers to just about evey customer I work with and find once most people hear these speakers for the price, its hard to shop elswhere!
