I received this camera for Christmas in 2003 (it was released about 2 months prior), and was initially impressed with its usability. I was unimpressed with its 12 photo capacity, but nothing a flash memory card couldn't remedy. The camera works well, ...
Pros: Abosolutely none Cons: Short battery life
Software that corrupts easily and refuses to work
Poor reliability

What a piece of garbage. I bought the camera for a Christmas gift in 2004. I bought the camera a week before Christmas. My wife opened and used the camera on Christmas day. The next day when we went to take the pictures off the camera it would not ...
Pros: Good design and very easy set-up Cons: Battery life and tiny menu button
It is tough to find a digital camera that will give quality pictures at a less than $500 price, and for recreational or family vacation-type photographers, this is an important niche. The Kodak CX6230 fills this need fairly well. **FEATURES** The ...

This is an extremely easy to use camera. Essentially when you take it out of the box, you turn it on, you take a picture. I was expecting to have to fight with the camera like my friends with other models do, so this was a pleasant surprise. The ...

Pros: The KODAK COLOR SCIENCE chip make picture look professinal, and rich bright colors. Cons: NO CONS Great Product.
The CX6230 is a camera worth its price. Even though it says 2.0 MP. It's picture are great. It has a unique slick look, and many photo features, and modes. The CX6230 Color is the best feature with KODAK COLOR SCIENCE chip it seems as if it is taking at greater quality than 2.0 MP. I prefer My 6230 over my Samsung with 5.0MP due to the Picture color quality. It's beyond describable. I recomment all user's to this product.
Good camera for new users by hunnygurl ,Mar 25 '05
Pros: easy to use, bright colorful pictures, durable Cons: mediocre flash range, few options, shutter lag
I got this as my first digital camera, and it proved to be a success. This camera was a lot of fun and was extremely easy to use. I didn't even have to read any of the manual before beginning. It is durable, works well, and takes decent pictures. The pictures aren't amazing quality, but they are definitely good enough for a beginner looking to have fun with a new camera. It is especially good at taking outdoor pictures.
Wonderful camera. Easy to use and great pictures! by jojorx7 ,Sep 24 '04
Pros: clear pics with great detail
easy to use, great functions, love the "movie" feature Cons: the "Easy Share" software used to download.
I received this camera as a gift. I don't know why, but I thought the Kodak Digital cameras would be the bottom of the barrel, however I was pleasantly suprised!
It is easy to use and takes wonderful pics. It is also easy to configure the exposure in the menu to get great pictures all the way to sunset! I love the "movie" mode. It takes short movies in the MOV format with sound.
I do not seem to have the battery problem everyone else here is complaining about. I use the 2000 mHr NiMh AA rechargable and I get over 150 pics (most with flash and using the view screen) before I have to change the set.
By the way, adding a 128mb SD card gets you over 150 pics at the highest resolution setting! I have never run out of storage space, even after a 2 week vacation in Hawaii!
The "Easy Share" software leaves something to be desired though... Not very used friendly and sometimes I have to remove and reload the software to get it to download the pics.
Pros: Great for the money. Easy to use, good features. Cons: LCD screen might go crazy, otherwise no complaints...
Very good entry level camera. Has enough features but not so many that it is confusing. Batteries do not last too long, but I do not get the expensive CRV-3 batteries. LCD screen went out but camera was replaced under Best Buy replacement plan. If you want more features, spend more money.
Good camera apart from the battery life! by mixino1 ,Dec 27 '04
Pros: Picture quality is fine Cons: Battery life is unacceptable.
The camera is easy enough to use. I am satisfied with the quality in every respect except the battery life is absolutely ridiculous. You don't expect a camera left for a couple of days doing nothing to drain brand new unused Duracell batteries!
