Pros: Awesome battery life, very easy to use, takes great pictures! Cons: Can overload it with images, have to turn off annoying sounds, slow shutter speed
I received this 4.0 mega pixel camera as a Christmas gift from my parents. They had bought one for themselves and had to return it to Kodak on a regular basis for service. Eventually Kodak sent them a whole new camera, which they gave to me as they had ...
Pros: Extremely easy to use. Reliable. Good photo quality. EasyShare cradle works great. Cons: This is a basic point-and-shoot.
I purchased this camera for a business environment (real estate) where several users will be using the camera on a regular basis. My requirements were extreme ease-of-use, accepatble photo quality, and built-in rechargable battery. Kodak's Easy-Share ...
Pros: small size, ease of use, picture quality Cons: included Kodak software
I recently purchased this camera because I was going on a trip to Alaska and realized that I was going to end up taking a lot of pictures. I was never good with standard film cameras; always getting the film developed to see 15 different shots of the ...
Pros: Small size, sound effects give good feedback, easy to use, integration with printers. Cons: The zoom in/out is awkwardly placed. The navigation/ok button is too sensitive.
An impressive looking, well built, small, and light-weight camera that offers some amazing features and easy-to-use interface. My goal for this camera was not super-megapixel photo-geek stuff, but to provide a consumer-grade easy to use camera for my ...
Pros: Easy use, great pictures, great battery life, sleek looks Cons: None for the family picture taker-not a professional camera
I bought this camera about a year and a half ago. My 2.1 megepixel HP had died and I was looking for something with better battery life. I was surprised to discover that Kodak had a lot of competitive offerings in the casual photographer level of ...
Pros: Easy to use, EXCELLENT picture quality, long battery life, lots of options! Cons: NONE!
Don't let the size of this camera fool you! At 4" wide and 2" high, this camera looks like a point and shoot. For such a small package, it carries a big punch! We did a lot of research when we were shopping for a digital camera. We kept coming back ...
Pros: Durable, quick and easy Cons: Haven't found any yet
I got this little 4.0 mp puppy for my birthday a year and a half ago and it is SO COOL. It is small, easy to use and hard to break. I'm even able to change the noises it makes when I turn it on or take a picture. I impressed a good friend of mine ...
Pros: Will take an adequate picture comparable to similar cameras in the price range. Cons: Poor projected reliability; poor brand name; docking station from the LS443 not compatible.
I bought the predecessor to this camera, the Kodak LS443, a few years back (see my review). It broke after 18 months due to a defective lens mechanism. Now Kodak has introduced a successor, the LS743. The story of how I came to trust Kodak once again is ...
Pros: Small, cheap, easy to use, relatively good photos, durable Cons: It's not for a pro, this is an easy point and shoot.
I bought this camera over a year ago, and I just love it. I got it for traveling over sea's. I have a nice Nikon digital that is big and heavy to carry around. This thing I shove in my purse, my pocket and just take it everywhere. It's easy to use, and has a lot of functions so I can play with it too. I really love this little guy. It's cheap, easy AND fun. The photo's are good too. Nothing award winning but good enough for your average Joe. I also dropped it in a river once. It wouldn't turn on for a week, but it came back to life on me after leaving it in the sun for a couple weeks. Works just like it used to!
Good pictures, easy to use, but SLOW resetting between pics. by luthient ,Jan 16 '07
Pros: Easy to learn, takes decent pictures, easy to upload to Kodak site. Cons: Super slow between shots-- people are impatient waiting for 45 seconds for the next picture.
I bought two of these cameras and printer docks because it was so easy to learn -- this was my first digital camera. It takes nice pictures without red-eye. The only issue with it is that it takes so long to reset between pictures that the subjects start to walk away after the first shot. Because of that, I am switching to a new camera soon. The Kodak software is good for uploading images to the Kodak website for sharing pictures easily and ordering photos. But, the software tends to be very buggy and takes forever to install and update. The Kodak printer dock makes very nice prints -- when it works. I had to send one of the docks back for repair within the first year. Frequently, the docks are not recognized by my computers.
Pros: Great picture quality, even on 8x10! User-friendly Cons: None
I purchased my Kodak LS743 in September 2004 through HSN. I was able to do easy pay (4 payments) and received the product right away. This is a fantastic product! The quality of the pictures is wonderful and the camera is very easy to use! Not only that, it comes with great software and you can order prints through Kodak's subsidiary, Ofoto.com - they are reasonably priced and high quality!!
Pros: Lightweight, slim design. Easy to use which is perfect for digital camera newbies. Cons: The ok button is difficult to operate for those with thick fingers or heavy hands.
As a digital camera newbie, I was quite nervous about buying a digital camera. However, I checked out epinions before purchasing a camera and settled on the Kodak LS743. I love its slim design and lightweight feel. I am ecstatic with its ease of use, one read through the manual and I can utilize almost all of the features. I love how I can take pictures of my kids standing still or running about just by changing the mode of picture taking. We all love the video mode, too. My only complaint with this camera is that I have large, heavy hands and find that it doesn't always respond properly to my press on the tiny "ok" button. But, I keep trying and eventually it works. A great camera for a great price!
Best Christmas present ever! by mischelle_99 ,Mar 08 '05
Pros: Easy to use, easy to share, very long battery life. Cons: Have not found any cons thus far.
I received the Kodak EasyShare LS743 Digital Camera as a Christmas present in 2004. It was the best Christmas present ever. I love it! The camera is so easy to use and the picture quality is great. I had purchased an HP Photosmart Digital camera for my daughter that same Christmas. Needless to say, I ended up returning it and buying her an LS743 also. I have used other digital cameras in the past and have always had problems with them. I have not had any problems with this one. You will not be disappointed.
Kodak LS743 Digital Camera by josephinekelly ,Dec 10 '05
Pros: Lightweight and compact for handbag, reliable most of the time, easy to use modes. Cons: Poor flash, does not focus very quickly. Pictures tend to be dark.
Had this camera now for about six months. I would say I am satisfied with the quality of about 70% of pictures taken. When it takes a good picture, it is very, very good, but I do find it a bit hit and miss, although I would be the first to admit I am solely a point and shoot photographer! Photos I discard are mainly for wrong focus point, or just out of focus. This camera is not good on flash, so that night or low light pictures are very disappointing. Another beef is that although the pictures look bright and clear on computer screen, they do not print looking the same and I always have to lighten them for printing off - I use a Kodak PD6000 printer dock.
I am tempted to try another camera really, but perhaps the camera that can cope with my amateur photography is yet to be invented.
Pros: lightweight, easy to use, good pics for everyday uses. Cons: included battery runs out quickly.
I got this camera for recreational use and was really happy with it. I am not that savvy with technology so when I was able to figure everything out in a snap I was very happy, the only suggestion I have is to buy an extra set of batteries when you get this cam. The provided set runs out of energy quickly.
