Pros: Convenient, big basket, easy to set up, keeps infant cozy Cons: None.
In the world of strollers, there are a lot of choices, colors, styles, and prices. It can be overwhelming. My advice after more than three years of strollers of all makes and models (our garage looks like a parking lot) – the first purchase you should ...
Pros: Leave baby asleep in infant car seat. You don't have to CARRY the baby. Cons: Can no longer use it once baby outgrows infant seat.
The Kolcraft Universal Car Seat Carrier is an awesome piece of baby equipment. We love it. Very convenient lightweight infant stroller. I used the Kolcraft Universal Car Seat Carrier for my 2nd child (2002) and am using it now for my 3rd. ...
Pros: smooth ride, tons of storage, easy to use, good price Cons: have to go through the hassle of buying another stroller down the road
I was despondent when I had to give up the carseat carrier when my son outgrew his Graco Snugride. I guess I liked the simplicity of it the most. It's just a very simple frame that a carseat sits on. Yes, it just sits, it didn't snap (at least mine ...
Pros: Small size, large storage basket, ease of use Cons: Graco car seats don't lock onto older models. This issue is resolved on latest model.
This is a great invention. The price makes it even more attractive. As strollers get bigger and bigger, most of us want a smaller, simpler option for quick trips (picking up kids at school, dashing into the store, etc) while baby is still in a ...
Pros: Lightweight, easy to fold, easy to assemble Cons: Evenflo Discovery infant car seat did not lock into place as hoped.
I had read the nice reviews about this stroller since it could accept a number of infant car seats including the one we bought for our son or daughter. I bought one at the Baby Depot (Burlington Coat Factory) for $39.99. It assembled easily and seemed of ...
Pros: Shopping with baby is EASY & fun!
Huge basket Cons: Baby outgrows it!
Flimsy wheels
10lb Basket capacity
First of all, I must say: This is my 3rd baby, and I don't know how I lived without it through my first two. I am not exaggerating when I say this has spared me tons of backache and nuisance hauling those $@#! heavy carseats into & out of shops! I ...
Pros: Comparatively inexpensive; easy to fold; lightweight; durable & sturdy; lots of storage room. Cons: Size; depth of cup holders; rough ride anywhere but smooth surface
I anguished over what to do concerning a stroller for my second child, since my son was to turn three just before the baby was born. I decided on a "snap-n-go" frame type stroller for the new addition for at least the first few months. I have a Graco ...
Pros: Lightweight, easy-to-use and HUGE storage basket and parent tray. Cons: None really...car seat doesn't "snap" in completely
We just had our first child this past April and like most parents eagerly began researching strollers. The Kolcraft Universal was recommended to me by a fellow mom, but I confess I wasn't really that into it because I thought it looked cheapie (plus I ...
Great! Never wake baby again! by emnrachsmom ,Sep 05 '04
Pros: Easy to use, don't have to move baby Cons: Hard to find in stores - must order it
My husband and I decided to buy this after reviewing several strollers in The Baby Bargains book. We bought ours from WalMart for 39.99. It is great! We love this! We don't have to move our sleeping baby our of the carseat when we go somewhere (such as the mall!)
The only thing I didn't like is it is a pain to try to find. You pretty much have to order it.
Pros: holds lots, don't need to wake baby Cons: my car seat doesn't "snap" in, is just held in by strap
This stroller is great--I am sad I will have to give it up when baby is bigger. The basket holds tons of packages, or holds diaper bag, purse AND my 9 pound dog--she loves it...haven't found a regular stroller with such a big basket.
A great stroller alternative! by hmatysik ,Jan 11 '04
Pros: Lightweight, compact, large basket, easy assembly Cons: Sometimes difficult to fold, price
I decided to buy this carrier while my daughter was too small to use her stroller. Although the carseat fit into the stroller as a travel system, it was a bit too bulky and there was no way to use the basket underneath. I used this carrier with a Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat. This carrier was the perfect size and there was no problem accessing the basket underneath. And there is a lot of room in the basket also. It is compact when folded and very lightweight.
My only problem with this carrier is that at times it could be difficult to fold. There is NO WAY you can fold this thing with one hand like they claim. I paid $50 for this carrier and even though I used the heck out of this thing, I still feel $50 is a bit much.
All things considered, I think this carrier is a great idea!
A little too universal for its own good by jinni ,Feb 27 '05
Pros: Lightweight Cons: Seems unsafe
I had read positive reviews of this product, and decided to purchase it. Unfortunately, it turned out that the reviews referred to a previous model. This one does not actually take advantage of the car seat snaps; instead, it requires a belt to keep the car seat on the frame. This made it seem very flimsy and unsafe. In their pursuit of universality, Kolcraft did a really poor job. I ended up exchanging it for Baby Trend Snap N' Go, which I was quite happy with.
"Lightweight Travel System" without the expense by tiewwankoon ,Nov 07 '04
Pros: Lightweight, easy to fold/unfold, large basket Cons: Can't use it once baby outgrows infant carseat around 6 months old
It was recommended to us by a number of sources including relatives, friends, and the Baby Bargains book. We liked the lightweight, compact design especially in and out of the car. We were initially concerned about the seat restraint being just a strap, but it proved to be more than adequate. The large wheels make going over uneven terrain easier. The basket is convenient for carrying baby's things and things from the store to the car, and the car to the house. The price is great when compared to some of the travel systems and strollers on the market. Assembly is easy.
Pros: ease of opening and closing Cons: crappy materials, poor design, not worth the money
This stroller held up fine with light use in and out of the car. When I made a trip on the airplane with one connection, the stroller frame was bent by the end of the trip. I ended up having to buy and ship to my vacation spot a Graco snugride frame for the trip back. The Graco is so much more better built than the piece of crap Kolcraft.
Pros: Lightweight, easy fold, well-designed, good steering Cons: None
We love this carseat carrier!! I'm disappointed that we won't be able to use this soon as our child will soon be too big for his infant seat. It is lightweight, folds easily, steers smoothly, has a huge basket, and has a nicely-designed caddy on top for beverages/keys/etc. Our carseat (Evenflo Portabout) goes in and out of it smoothly. We would much rather use this than the stroller that came with our travel system.
