Pros: Small, Cheap, Prints Fast - Works on Win 98, 2k and XP Cons: Expensive Toner, Lacking Quality Control, Lacking Customer Care, Expensive replacements!
Begin This printer has been used for less than 6 months and was purchased by a friend of mine for our church office. Being a small congregation, this printer sees light use and at first glance this printer seemed to fit the bill. It is first ...
Pros: USB & Parallel support, fast, great text quality, EXCELLENT Tech Support Cons: Poor photo quality, Power Flickers, Expensive Genuine Toner
I bought the Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W at Staples when it was on sale for 50$ from 180$. So far I am quite pleased with it. Supply price With the 3000-page cartridge it costs 2.6 cents to print a page for toner. (see update below) This is ...
Pros: Cheap, compact, great quality prints, fast. Can be easily networked once you learn how... Cons: Work-around for networking disables status monitor. Sharp "plastic" smell. A paper drawer would be better.
I bought this printer yesterday to replace a 7 year old IBM laser printer that would no longer recognize that it had paper in it. Also, it was starting to streak the prints. So far I have to say that I really like the quality of the printouts and ...
Pros: 1200 DPI output in an a relatively inexpensive package, easy setup. Cons: Incompatible with third party print servers, high toner costs.
I just purchased this printer as a replacement for a damaged HP Laserjet 1012. I needed a quick replacement and the price was right with an internet special from Office Max for $100. I received the unit two days after my online order. Setup is ...
Pros: SMALL IN SIZE AND FAST Cons: TONER REFILLS AND JOB TRAY CANT HANDLE BIG JOBS
I HAVE HAD THIS LASER PRINTER KNOW FOR ABOUT 1 1/2 YEARS AND ITS STILL GOING STRONG. I PAID ABOUT $100 DOLLARS FOR IT AND IT STILL SEEMS TO BE THE AVERAGE PRICE FOR A FOR A SMALL PERSONAL LASER PRINTER. YES IT IS NOT REALLY MADE FOR NETWORKING BUT THAT ...
Pros: Fast 21 ppm, initally cheap, dosen't jam much. Cons: Annoying software, booby trapped printer that forces you to buy insanely overpriced toner.
Yeah this is a pretty good printer. It does a pretty good job doesn’t jam much if you use regular paper, but it is a little on the loud side. I got it for $99 and was initially very happy. Now for the scam. The printer is set up to read a chip on the ...
Pros: Compact size, beautiful crisp print and graphics, SOMETIMES at 21 PPM...... Cons: Extremely slow starts and restarts, very noisy operation, bad input-output tray designs, intrusive software.
I'm not so keen on the 'cutting edge' design of this printer. True, the paper loading tray does fold up for compactness, but who would ever consistently use a printer where you have to unfold the tray and reinsert the paper each time you want to print? ...
Pros: Fast warm up, fast print speed, quality text and graphics. Cons: Somewhat louder than I'd like when in operation.
I've read some of the negative reviews of this product and am wondering if they were written some time ago. For starters I did not find the toner priced out of sight. In fact the spare toner I purchased with the printer was less expensive than toner for ...
Pros: Sharp printing, even with photos, but that's all. Cons: Slightly noisy, toner warnings before it's actually empty, overpriced replacement toner cartridges.
I bought this printer as an "upgrade" to my trusty old Panasonic KXP6500 which had some problems with XP drivers and real fine printing. With it's 1200 DPI output, I thought this would be a perfect complement for small text/fine image printing on my CDR ...
Pros: Cheap initial cost. Fast printing. Crisp quality Cons: Toner cost, unfriendly software, louder than it should be
I just read the 6 reviews on the little printer and couldn't help adding my 2 cents on the subject. I got mine for around $85 after rebate. I've had only ink jet printers at home before, and in compared to those, this is a real gem. I've used HPs at ...
Good printer for the price. by mjprieder ,Feb 06 '07
Pros: Low initial cost and availability of compatible consumables makes it sensible to use. Cons: There can be some problem feeding envelopes.
I have had this printer for over a year, and it has functioned well. I use a scanner with my computer to do high volume copying. With good paper, there is no problem. With cheaper paper, there can be some jams. The copy quality has remained good. The only thing that has deteriorated over time is the ability to pick up envelopes. I have cut the cost per page down by using compatible cartridges I buy on line. I have purchased a toner refill kit with a new counter chip, but I dread using it. The price of compatible toner has dropped significantly over the past few months for this machine. With plenty of cheap monochrome laser printers out there, it is always a temptation to by a new machine for less than the cost of a toner cartridge and a drum. However, this machine is economical enough to keep using compatible toner.
Pros: Clean copies. Fast. Inexpensive. Cons: Lots of debugging needed.
Had to return for replacement (given a refurbished unit). Have had to contact tech support due to software issues. Continue to get error messages that there is a paper jam when there is not. Many bugs with this particular unit.
I purchased this printer new at Staples for $100 approx. Initially it seemed like a great printer. It was fast and the resolution was sharp. I was happy and it seemed like a tremendous value. About 2 months later I noticed spots on the printed pages. Obviously dirt had gotten trapped in the toner / drum assembly. This dirt welded itself to the green colored drum. Result ? -I purchased and installed a new drum @ $30. About a month later the same thing happened - another trashed drum. I still have yet to need a toner refill, or cartridge change - and yet the darn thing cannot keep normal dust and dirt from trashing the drum. My office is not an abnormally dusty place. I have two other printers here that never have this issue (HP lasers). Unless one plans on hermetically sealing this in some sort of capsule while using it, I suggest avoiding this one like the plague. I have since relegated this unit to printing in office correspondence since the pages are not usable elsewhere. - Will I.
Quite possibly the worst printer EVER by navynukemcpo ,Feb 20 '05
Pros: Pretty orange "error" light (on constantly) adds to ambiance. Cons: Terribly annoying software. Junk junk junk!!!
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!! Software that pops up inane messages all the time. Decent print quality, but I have to turn the printer off then on again after it sits for more than an hour to get it to do anything. Terribly made (plastic breaks easily). I would rather write out a resume in crayon and take my chances before getting frustrated trying to use this piece of junk. Yes, it's cheap. Yes, the print quality is O.K. (when it works). But mine is about to be in a landfill.
