Pros: Removable waffle plates, easy handling, decent design, drip pan, even heat distribution Cons: no timer, switch has no off-sposition, storage position does not lock device, safety
In the quest for the "perfect" waffle maker, we finally came across the Expert Waffle Maker by Krups, a stylish proposition that will put you back about $80, but after all you're paying for an "expert" right.? Well, my wife and I thought so and here is ...

Pros: Unit worked well the 1 time I got to use it. Cons: Works 1 time and customer service is the worst of any I have ever seen.
I purchased this waffle maker based on comments here - which showed good reviews. I have used the unit once and now when I plug it in it trips the circuit breaker for the entire kitchen. After unplugging and plugging back in several times, it did come on ...

Cranks out professional waffles every time
by krh3006 ,Dec 24 '04
Pros: Very fast and very easy to clean. Cons: Takes some space to store it but not bad.
This machine is so fast at making waffles it would take a house load of people to keep up with it. It is the easiest waffle maker to clean that I have ever had my hands on. I liked it so much I bought another one for my sister as a gift.

I love this machine
by newengland ,Nov 01 '06
Pros: Removeable plates ... fast time ... huge waffles Cons: None
This is THE BEST waffle maker ever! Krups has done it again. Removeable plates - very non-stick so clean up is easy as ever. waffles are fat, crispy and delicious any time of day. Who needs a timer. On a 5 setting, I set my little kitchen timer for 3:30 and they are perfection every time. Well worth the price. You won't be sorry!!

Love this Krups waffle iron
by doodleannne ,Jan 29 '07
Pros: Removeable plates, adjustable temp., drip pan (plates and drip pan are dishwasher safe) Cons: none
I did a tonne of research for a waffle iron . . . and this model had great reviews and it did not disappoint.
It delivered huge, crisp on the outside soft on the inside waffles. Other great features were a drip pan and removable dishwasher safe waffle plates.

Krups waffle maker works well!
by megack ,Feb 18 '08
Pros: Cooks fast, & does not burn easily. Easy to use & cleanup. Cons: Taller to store due to legs.
I've been looking for a waffle maker for my 12-yr-old daughter for quite awhile. My minimum requirement was the removable plates. The first inexpensive one I brought home was returned, but the Krups works well and cleans up easily. The drip tray is a nice touch. The waffles cook very fast. Although taller than I wanted due to the legs, it's not that bad to store (and at least it is being used-- My daughter even made some before school today!. )

Great but flawed
by russdog2 ,Apr 08 '09
Pros: Does it's job very well. Cons: $48 per year for each pair of disposable parts.
Wonderful product *except* for the removable plates with the non-stick surface that cracked and failed in less than 1 year. Krups Customer Service says it's a non-warranty part and refuses to replace it. Instead, they want $48 for each set of plates. Either the plates are defective, in which case they should be replaced, or they're not, in which case it costs $96 per year to use the thing. A bad, bad deal on an otherwise good product. Too bad they don't stand behind their product. How can think people will respect the Krups name? Or is that no longer their concern?

A great product
by jstephens62 ,Nov 27 '05
Pros: Cooks well, fast, easy to use and clean Cons: No timer
After trying several bargain-priced waffle makers, we just purchased the Krups FDD912-75. It cooks very quickly, 4 minutes turn-around time for a waffle that will feed 2. The waffles are light and evenly cooked. I do not have problems with sticking that I had with other models. With our previous model, the first batch was basically a throw-way; they did not cook well at all. That has not been a problem with the Krups.
I do with it had a timer, but otherwise it has everything I would want.

A Waffle Addict's Waffle Maker
by kentknoll ,Sep 26 '09
Pros: Easy to get thick crisp waffles everytime Easy to clean Quality is great Cons: Doesn't automatically fold itself up and put itself away after use :~)
Love this unit ! A rotary Belgium waffle maker with removable non-stick plates & removable drip tray for $70. You won't do better. After 3 years my thermostat failed when I foolishly preheated it on High. I'm still kicking myself. I've had maybe a dozen waffle makers over the years. Nothing touches this unit. Here's a little hint for the "no timer" complainers. The light goes out when it's done. Also, a real cook just checks for steam. When the steam drops off, you are done. I'd pay extra for a unit without a switch. One less thing to break. Nobody love waffles more than me and even I don't have them everyday. So you'll be unplugging it anyway when you're done. I'm ordering another one. BTW, my plates are still in great shape and I'd be happy to sell them to the guy who can't find fairly priced replacements. Find me at www.kentknoll.com. I took it apart when I fried the thermostat and this unit quality throughout. Even the thermostat looked shiny and new.

Krups Model # FDD962 Waffle Maker broke after 7 usages
by lmmmorgan ,Nov 11 '09
Pros: Cooked waffles evenly, the pan in bottom caught the drips. Cons: Broke on the seventh time I used it.
I purchased this model in April of 2009. It worked great until October of 2009. I used it once a month to make waffles. So it worked for seven times! In October it "poped" a loud pop and blew the circuit breaker. Once it cooled down it seemed to heat again so I tried it again in November. Same thing happened. Being smarter than the average bear I have decided to switch to pancakes. My stove and frying pan work just fine, thank you. I refuse to purchase another appliance made in China until there is more quality control and appliances last more than a few times.
