Pros: Shape, looks Cons: It DOES NOT WORK
Hardware and software problems
Total lack of support from Logitech
This gamepad has problems and people all over the net have the *very same issue* with the left analog stick stopping working, losing calibration.
It's a cheap pad, literally.
Logitech is not acknowledging the problem so DON'T BUY IT.
I went through two of these pad and they all had the same issue.
I cannot believe Logitech made this pad. Whoever engineering this should be fired for trowing their good name in the trashcan.
Pros: none Cons: Doesn't work after less than a week.
This piece of crap is not worth buying. It looses calibration after a week. I exchanged it and got the same result with a second controller. Do not buy this piece of junk for any reason.
Pros: Familiar PS/PS2 controller feel. Cons: Breaks in a month.
Normally I would recommend purchasing something made by the Logitech company as I have had great experiences with their products in the past. That being said, this controller is a great product... for about 3 weeks. Like many other people writing reviews for this controller, my analog sticks lost calibration after about 3 weeks of usage. Funnily enough it was the right stick that gave out on me first. Had a great time using it for Halo during that period, but I don't think it was worth my $20.
Logitech won't acknowledge the problem by dstrzemienski ,Jun 03 '04
Pros: Familiar design. Comfortable in the hands. Cons: Left analog stick!
Many, many, MANY purchasers, myself included, have found that after a few weeks of use, the left analog stick on these pads stops functioning correctly. I've been through 2 of these, and I've been gentle with them knowing their reputation. Logitech customer support will tell you they are not aware of any engineering problems with this controller, but with so many people complaining, I don't know how they could NOT know. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.
This control is not the best by jmodesigns ,Nov 06 '04
Pros: Easy computer set-up. Cons: Does not last very long.
I had to replace this controller five times and am currently working on my sixth replacement. When I first purchased the controller everything was great. My Windows xp os picked it up and I easily programmed it to my computer using the installation software.
The first control lasted for about two months, I purchased the next one and that one lasted a few weeks and so on.
I called logitech, they have very good customer service, the replacements would arrive within 5 days.
The left analog would stop working on all of the controls not allowing me to move to my left in games like Madden 2004. The box says it's compatible with all EA Sports games. So this was a technical issue. I am not sure if they have fixed the problem, but it's not worth buying a control you will not be able to use.
