I like mine
by montygeology ,Jun 13 '05
Pros: Price
Functionality Cons: Poor customer support
I have had my ze4210 for about 2 years now. I have upgraded the RAM to 768MB and it zooms. I bought my ze4210 over the web and the battery was DOA when I received it. It took a looooooong time and an e-mail to Carly Fiorina herself to get the battery, but since I have had it, I really don't have many complaints about my laptop. I love it. So, if you are looking for an inexpensive, but dependable laptop, this one is a good choice. If you have to deal with HP's customer support, it may prove to be a trying exercise, but I am pretty sure that is the case with practically every computer manufacturer.

Really good computer
by mgbgt74 ,Jun 29 '04
Pros: Decent battery life, quick boot up time, and file access time. Cons: Noisy fan, and DVD player acts up sometimes.
So far I have really loved this computer. I've had three laptops now, and the Dell and Compaq I had previously lasted about a year or so and then were junk, so the verdict is still out on the HP, but I think its going to be a winner.
I bought this mostly for tuning on my car, and for setting up travel routes to remote areas. By having it, it has allowed me to get out of some areas when I had no idea where I was and the battery life lasted a good 3 hours so that wasn't an issue.
I just love how easy it is to use, and it boots up fairly quickly compared to other computers. It doesn't take long to access files, and unlike the other laptops I've had, it hasn't locked up yet.
The fan noise can definitely be annoying if you are in a very quiet area, and the DVD player occasionally acts like I just installed a CD or DVD to it.
