Pros: The All-In-One is attractive, multi-functional, and reasonably priced but... Cons: I don't think it was really worth the money. Read the review for details.
Your printer is almost as important as the computer itself anymore, so when shopping for one you want to get the most for your money. We purchased a new Dell last summer and the HP printer we had wasn't compatible so we had to get a new printer. We ...
Pros: Easy to set up and use. Good quality printing. Cons: Dust shows up easily on it.
I have used several different printers, at home, college, and work. I have had several at home, including two different Lexmark models. Some of the printers have held up longer than others. Just over two years ago, I got the ...
Pros: It is VERY dependable. Very easy to setup and use. Perfect! Cons: I can find no cons in this machine at all.
I bought my Lexmark X5150 after browsing around & comparing others, & deciding on how much work I was going to do on it, to justify the price, & the size of the item itself. I found the price to be very reasonable, and it has all of the functions a small ...
After one year on my second 5150, I must warn people about it. My first unit began jamming within a week. The feed wheel for the paper pulls from only the right side, so pages were being pulled in crooked. The problem appeared to go away for awhile, but ...
Pros: Easy to install and easier to use Cons: Very noisy on start up, and a little slow when coming out of standby.
I have had two other Lexmark Printers, the Z73 and the 1150. I was very satisfied with both. So when I upgraded my computer and had lost the software for the 1150 I thought this was a good time to step up to the next Lexmark. The price of $119 was ...
Pros: Easy installation, setup, and use in general Cons: size, ink is a lot of money
I work on computers on a regular basis, however I dont run into using printers too often. So I never got into knowing what to look for. So the lexmark X5150 stood out to me to be reasonable in price. And it looked like it would work very well. Now on ...
Pros: Excellent value for money, sophisticate printing programs but easy to use. Support excellent. Cons: Expensive ink cartridges. Fax program not the simplest.
The first printer I bought for my own use was an Epson Stylus 62 which was noisy but the ink cartridges could be refilled and re-programmed cheaply. When it expired 1 day out of warranty I decided to look for something other than Epson. Staples had a ...
Pros: Scanner and copier worked Cons: Nothing else did, printer was a piece of junk
I bought my lenmark about a 1 1/2 ago. The day I bought it it didn't function right. The paper would start printing, then stop midway, skip some of the lines (I was printing a word document) continue after a little while but at a very slow speed. ...
Pros: Fast at Printing, ALL IN ONE, Easy Access Bottons Cons: Expensive ink.
I was looking on the internet for a good deal on a printer for a family member since I am the tech genious and all my family and friends turn to me for advice and help and such. Anyways I found a good deal on www.ebay.com. The guy I bought from was a ...
Pros: Good print quality while working properly. Scanner quality was good. Cons: Paper feeds crooked. The fatal malfunction and poor customer service.
I purchased my 5150 a little over a year ago, it has had paper feed problems from day one. I only can get straight printing if I put the paper in off kilter. Then most of the pages will print straight. The latest and killer problem is with the printing. No matter what I print I'm getting bars across the page. These aren't random but seem to have their own system of repeating across the page. Whether text or photos the bars are there.
I contacted Lexmark customer support and they were helpful up to the point that they found out that it was past warranty and immediately ended all conversation. I've reinstalled the software hoping this was the problem but no luck. I'm completely frustrated with this printer and although it was not that expensive I would expect it to last more than 1 year.
Run far and fast from this printer by wanderlustsoca ,Mar 15 '05
Pros: none Cons: mechanical issues, software issues, customer support issues
What a pile of junk.
I purchased this printer a year ago, and after a year of very light usage, have had nothing but problems with it. It is much like some of my employees, when you need them to work they just don't. This printer has exactly that property.
It started with scanning issues (wouldn't scan entire pages) and horrible overseas customer support. It ended, with many problems in between, with a "cartridge error".
I've decided to cut my losses and give it to my nephew to rip apart and learn how crap product is built. Either that or for him to take a sledge hammer to... Frankly, I just want him to destroy the piece of junk.
Lexmark customer service is some of the worst I've experienced as well. Avoid this company at all costs.
Great Printer-Not Much Else To Offer-Terrible Customer Support by consumer5000 ,Feb 20 '04
Pros: High quality, quiet, fast printer Cons: Terrible Customer/Technical Support
This is a wonderful printer-it's fast, quiet, high quality ink jet. Unfortunately, it's scanning feature leaves much to wish for. Technical support is the worst I've ever experienced. After e-mailing my problem regarding the scanner to their technical support, I received a confirmation that they received the e-mail, but they never e-mailed me back with a solution. When I called the technical support line, I waited 13 minutes for someone to answer, despite the statement that hold time would be less than five minutes. The representative had very long pauses before answering my questions, like she didn't know the answer or was busy doing something else. Then she hung up on me without even solving my problem. What a wasted half hour. If you are not computer savvy and can't handle your own technical issues, I wouldn't recommend buying this product unless you just want to print and copy.
X5150 Questionable at Best by cartridgeerror ,Oct 13 '04
Pros: Great price, wonderful when it prints straight. Cons: Cartridge error 50C not explained in the user guide.
We purchased this all in one 9 months ago. It was on sale for a great price and we have been looking for a while. We had no idea that it would be such a problem. The paper does not load correctly, loading envelopes-nightmarish. I have tried almost everything I can think of but can't afford to junk this beast yet.
I now get cartridge error 50C whenever I am trying to print a page. Still have not found a solution to error 50C. I have cleaned and dried the contacts and I know the cartridges are new. I have no idea what to do next. I have reloaded the software and am still lost. Still can't print.
They seem way too interested in selling cartridges in the user guide.
On my way to the library to print my documents.
