Pros: Setup, Cost, and performance what else do you need Cons: None
I just ordered this product from buy.com and I really like the fact that I do not have a wire running all over my house. Before I had a very long Ethernet cable going from my router to the Xbox and now I do not have any wires going to the Xbox. The set ...

Pros: Wireless freedom and mobility!!!! Cons: None as of yet
This is probably one of the greatest add ons for my Xbox and the "Live" service. I bought this adapter because I wanted to be able to connect to Xbox Live no matter what room of the house I was in and this adapter allows me to do exactly that. Im using ...

Pros: Compact, simple controls. Cons: Horrible documentation, inadequate technical support, unconfigurable.
I bought this device to connect an old desktop computer to my wireless network. Many gaming consoles and older computers have ethernet sockets for networking but do not have a wireless networking capability. This adapter allows non-wireless consoles and ...

Ok but not great
by dsj69 ,Mar 04 '06
Pros: Simplicity once it is set up, low cost Cons: Setting it up on secure network can be horrendous-no documentation
Bought this for wireless online gaming. If your wireless network is open there is no problem. However if you have any security features enabled on your router you can be in for a long day. Instructions and help on the linksys website are non-existent on this topic, such as the following items:
1. SSID broadcasting from the router must be on
2. If you have a router that has a multiple key setup, you must select the first key. My network had been setup with another key--would indicate network connection, would not communicate.
3. The MAC address on the device is NOT the MAC address the device presents to the router. If you are limiting access to your network by MAC address you must pick up the wireless MAC and enter it in your router setup.

Didn't work - Sent it back
by davidol ,Jan 21 '05
Pros: Affordable Cons: Did not work with PS2
This seemed like the perfect product to connect my PS2 to my wireless network so I could play games online. The documentation included in the package was terrible. The product was advertised was quick and easy setup, but this was far from the truth. It is easy if you are connecting 2 PS2 for head to head play, but setup is cumbersome for connecting to the internet. I configured the adapter easily though when plugging it into my router directly as suggested for setup. However, when plugging it into the PS2 for playing, the adapter could not be found by the network. I spent an hour on the phone with Linksys tech support (located in Middle East and English is hard to understand). The technician had me go through every possible step to get it to work and finally gave up. He suggested I send it back and get a new one. I am sending it back, but I don't even want a new one. A refund will be fine and I will settle for directly connecting the PS2 to the router with an Ethernet cable.

Best way to connect without wires
by heavyd14 ,May 07 '05
Pros: no wires across your house Cons: None!
I bought this when I got broadband to connect my PS2 along with a Linksys BEFSW11S4 Wireless router. It works exactly as it should. It also works for a PC. It isn't G wireless, but G is overkill, especially when my internet is only 3 megabits.

Easy to use, Easy to set up!
by primal23 ,Sep 05 '05
Pros: Ease of setup
Ease of use
No lag Cons: Slower than G but have not noticed it at all.
A great wireless game adapter for a PS2 of XBOX. I have mine connected to my PS2 right now so I can play on-line basketball games and Final Fantasy XI. Was very easy to set up, simply had my wireless modem/router accept wireless connections, and then set the adapter to IN, plugged it into the PS2 through the network adapter and it was done. I have a technical degree, so I know what I am doing, and I can say that I didn't need it. This thing was so easy to set up, ANYONE could do it. No problems at all!
