Pros: Price, ease of setup, works well Cons: Somewhat difficult to put on, somewhat uncomfortable, battery not replaceable
Logitech's Bluetooth Mobile Freedom Headset is an inexpensive "over the ear" headset designed for use with Bluetooth wireless phones (you can also use it with your PC). I purchased a Motorola V3c wireless phone recently, and wanted to quickly ...
Pros: Durable, simple design. Basically dependable in all aspects one would expect from a bluetooth headset. Cons: Slightly bulky.
As you venture into the realm of bluetooth headsets you will find that your options are many. Prices will range from the low-budget brands offering $19 pieces to the established players offering $120 headsets. I opted for a middle player. Good price, ...
Pros: Clear sound, blocks wind noise, excellent value. Cons: Uncomfortable if you have medium-larger ears. Developed fatal charging issues after a few months.
I shopped around a bit for a first bluetooth headset to use with my LG350 cellular phone, and I settled on this after reading several positive reviews. The main draw was the windstop technology, which blocks wind from causing buffeting noises. As a ...
Pros: comfortable, light, great sound quality, more than reasonable price, decent battery life Cons: Non-replaceable battery, occasional static even at close range
After finally breaking my wired headphones from constantly yanking on it, I wanted a wireless replacement for use with my computer. I also wanted one that had a microphone so I can use it for online chats. The Logitech Mobile Headset had good reviews ...
Pros: -Excellent audio quality
-Minimized wind and background noise
-Bluetooth 1.2 Cons: -Not exactly that comfortable for my ear.
-Cannot be used while charging.
-Built-in Batteries non-replaceable
Why I got it? After my disaster with my first bluetooth headset, the bluespoon AX (avoid if possible), and doing much research as I could on the net for my next target, I have finally chosen the Logitech Mobile Freedom. What drew me the most to get ...
Pros: Clear sound, easy to use, Cons: 4 out of 4 headsets died after 3 months of use, 100% failure rate
I've had 4 of these headsets, while I am very impressed with the sound quality and the functionality of the headset, they keep failing for the same reason...about 3 months of use and they have all quit working. I have not overcharged the batt or anything is just looks like Logitech didn't do long term field tests on these.
Simple and dependable, but slightly uncomfortable and battery could use improvement by sherloqq ,Oct 09 '06
Pros: easy to use with good range and sound quality Cons: uncomfortable over-the-ear band, prone to battery problems
I purchased this headset through buy.com in October of 2005 and within 4 months I had to RMA it because it would neither power up nor charge. I noticed that when I tried to charge it, the orange "charge" LED would blink once and go off, as if indicating that the charging cycle was complete. However, the headset would not power on. I had no problems RMA'ing the unit, and within days the replacement was delivered to me. I wasn't even asked to return the old one.
It is now 8 months later and my replacement unit has failed with the same symptoms. I am one week away from the warranty expiring and on the phone with tech support. They will be sending me another replacement, but this time it will be a Mobile Traveller. The whole RMA process took about 35 minutes over the phone, 25 of which was on-hold music. The rep was courteous, helpful and thorough.
Pros: Small, great sound quality, performs well in any situation. Cons: None
Small and comfortable. It doesn't look like my ear through up a transmitter. Sound quality is fantastic, on both ends of the conversation. Comfortable, fits well on my ear. I barely know that I'm waring it. It pared well with both my Motorola v551 and my computer. I recommend this headset to anyone shopping for one.
The best of the bunch! by jetjockgordo ,Jan 05 '06
Pros: Price, wind resistant mic, loud speaker Cons: Style, comfort, lack of advanced features
This is a great headset at a great price! After performing scientific tests (compressed air) I have determined that this headset works the best for the money. Along with the Freedom I have tried the Jabra BT250, Motorola HS810, Sony-Ericsson HBH662 and the Jabra BT800. The verdict? For the price the Freedom has the best battery life, the best microphone, the best (tied with BT800) speaker and the best Bluetooth range. The compressed air test worked very well and showed that the Wind Stop mic on the Freedom really works well. Real life trials showed that people had no trouble hearing me while walking to my car in a brisk wind while the other headsets were rendered useless. The main downsides? 1. Size and style 2. No caller ID 3. No advanced features.
Here is my ranking with the headsets listed above (price not a factor):
#1 BT800, #2 Freedom, #3 HBH662, #4 HS810, #5 BT250.
