The MX300 is a great mouse to use when gaming. If one wants a mouse just for word processing or daily use without gaming, I would say to buy a cheap optical mouse. The MX300 has a good engine which allows the mouse to roll over many surfaces very smoothly without skipping. I highly recommend the MX300 to those who enjoy playing first person shooters such as Counter-Strike because the mouse will not skip when one tries to do a 360 degree turn quickly. The MX300 is smooth on almost all surfaces. Logitech also gives the user to choose if they would like to use the mouse with the USB port or the Ps/2 port. The mouse is plug and play, so the software that comes with the mouse does not need to be installed if one does not know much about computers and installing software.

Pros: I am very pleased. Comfort is great. No problems.

Although I may not be as picky about my mouse as some people, I did recently decide that the mouse which came with my computer 4 years ago just wasn't cutting it. I ran into the closest office supply store and scanned the descriptions and costs. Logitech MX300 seemed to be the main mouse this store carried and the price on this one seemed perfect. I use my computer for work/home related stuff only. So for me games are not done at all. I am however, on this thing about 30 hours a week so comfort and the mouse working are the main issues which this mouse came through on.
