Pros: Looks great, accurate oven, versatile burners, great features Cons: Buttons hard to see
I've only had this range for about a week. I did a ton of research into gas ranges, and for the money, this one could not be beaten. I purchased the MGR5765QDB, which is the same thing in black. I used the supplied LP conversion kit to switch it to ...
Pros: Fair price for a gas stove with full grates; Works well Cons: Poor Quality and Design: had gas leak, grates don't hold paint, inefficient customer service
The product works well. We bought the stove because it had grates that you could slide pans across from one side to the other. We liked the big burner (16,000BTU), too. The price was right for all the bells and whistles it came with. It works ...
Pros: The Bisque color is nice - it matches my refrigerator. Cons: Terrible product. In 4 years, I've racked up hundreds of dollars in repairs.
In the 24 years I've been married, the Maytag Gas Kitchen Range MGR5765 is the worst appliance I have ever bought. I bought in late Dec. 2004 and installed in home in Jan 2005. Within 14 months the oven handle snapped and ...
Pros: cooktop is great
16,000 BTU burner a treat Cons: Why put plastic feet on a steel and cast iron oven?
For the price, I agree with the comments made by teleplayer75, especially after the troubles we had with our old Whirlpool SF357 oven. My only gripe with this stove is the plastic feet. This obvious cost saving move by Maytag was pretty hokey, and ...
Pros: High flow burner Cons: Chipped paint, no broiler pan, lousy customer service
Bought this stove from Sears. Opened it up and the paint was chipped. Returned it for another. The next one was also chipped. We decided to keep it with the chip figuring this would keep happening. Opened the oven door and found there is no broiler pan. Called Maytag customer service and were greeted by Shakwana, who didn't care in the least about our problems. She said if we want a broiler pan to go buy one, or we could redeem a coupon and have one shipped if we pay the shipping costs. Common Maytag, a 750 dollar stove with chipped paint and no broiler pan?
Excellent Range, there is not a better one for the bucks! by interiormotive ,Feb 02 '06
Pros: Beautiful, Cooks like a dream and a great buy for the money. Cons: The 16,000 BTU burner can do some damage if you don't know what your doing.
I too did my research before purchasing this range. I subscribed to Consumer Reports and read as may articles and reviews on ranges before spending the $730 I spend on this range. Not only does this appliance look great but the oven is dead on and cooks like a dream. There is one 16,000 BTU burner that should be used with caution. If you have a microwave exhaust above the range it can melt the bottom part of the microwave. Also if you have cook ware that doesn't need a lot of heat you need to be aware of your settings. I never used the 16,000 BTU burner on high, but if I ever needed it, it was there. This would be a definite necessity at a high altitude as it can be difficult to get water to boil. I just moved from Texas to Oregon and I'm looking to purchase my second Maytag MGR5765QDQ.
Maytag Products NotReliable by casalbordino ,Jan 07 '09
Pros: None Cons: Oven ignition system pops everytime oven is turned on, so loud that the door pops.
I have two Maytag gas ranges. Neither of them worked properly from the beginning. Maytag's customer service is a joke and so are its repairmen they hire. Maytag should be out of business.
