Meade Rainforest Pro (7x42) Binocular

Pros: Excellent eye relief, soft eyecups, clear image, bright even in forest.
Cons: Heavy, but worth it. Only other con is that Meade no longer does repairs.

I am a professional naturalist, so use my binoculars for many hours every day. These binoculars are the easiest on the eyes of any I have ever used. There is absolutely no eye fatigue at all, even after several hours of use. The image is remarkably clear, the field of view is huge, and they feel good in the hand.

I have had mine for six years, spent a year using them in Africa, and the other five using them almost daily here in the Pacific Northwest. They give a very bright image even in deep forest.

They have held up well under difficult use.
